Isnt bad, but the GUI is really awful. If you need playback without codec packs, use KMP, which is 1000x better.

there is some flaw but i still rate it 5 because there is no other video player can play better.
unknown media feed to this player 90% playable when your wmp can't do the job or when you don't have any codecpack installed.
the good feature i found
-wide range of video codec built-in(support mpg1/2/4,realmedia,avc, xvid, quicktime,h.263,3gp,wmv,lot more)
-plays media in much better quality(audio/video)
bugs i found in 0.8.5
-sometimes crash in heavy multitasking environment
-doesn't support the on2 vp codec

Get Jet Audio Basic freeware. You will need not look any further. Does everything this does including file conversion ripping, DVD etc. VLC is really just a waste of time.
