Just throw away your cracked winrar or winzip. This is quallly stable. I have used it a lot for 6 months and I never had any problems.

I usually use TUGZip as this is my first choice in everyday use. However, sometimes I need 7-Zip when it comes to issues where all other decompression tools fail, e.g. for handling archives with very long file & directory names in it.

From first release it has beat other compression utilities by it's compression result...
And times go by...
7Zip makes many improvements in it's ratio compression and the speed of compress and decompressing process...
It's always the best !!!

I used Tugzip and Izarc before, but I had some problematic rar files. With 7zip no problems at all. I am just missing some options and a nicer GUI. 7zip is very good.

Menu options are confusing and not organized as well as other compression managers. Cannot display "Desktop" that I've found. This is where I download most things to or everyone does for that matter. Flawed software

Filzip is not better at all.
It cant pack as rar, neither does the antivirus support works, and it puts up two icons of the software everywere. Filzip is not that secure either opens up xtra ports in the pc for update to,grrrr.
Filzip is NOWAY near 7-Zip in stability.7-ZIP RULES among the free alternative.

i just found out the 7-zip portable 4.42 is 30% faster than this when it extracts multiple 1G .rar files. It also won't mess up your windows registry....
deepburner portable 1.8 is also a nice piece of portable ware, it is much better than cdburnerxp(need the .net framework), if u like the 7-zip portable, then u will like this too...

i comperessed one file with 11mb
winrar comperesed it to 1.2mb and
7zip comperessed to 165kb
also i comperesed a document with 1mb size. winrar comperesed 200kb larger than 7zip.
now i have uninstalled winrar for ever
