avg is EXCELLENT! it took care of bug from limewire quickly and decisively. It was also even able to detect bugs a paid subsctiption of norton antivus couldn't take out or finnd!

I used to have AVG, but after reading the comments on AVG on freewarefiles I decided to change to avast!..
Ran a scan on the computer (boot time scan), Avast! picked up 5 viruses including trojans and adware.
AVG did not pick these up and neither did Norton..
Therefore everyone switch to avast!!

What the hell? If anything, more viruses came into my computer when I had AVG! I Switched bach to Avast! and it cleaned out all the viruses that the crapware AVG couldn't find or block

In fact, Avast is 10 times better than AVG in many ways. AVAST can detect viruses and trojans FAR better than AVG, and AVAST has way faster scan times, and quicker updates than AVG. (when a new virus is found, almost instantly AVAST! is updated, while AVG takes longer to update when new threats are present. So if you want to really protect your computer, download AVAST! (It has newer version, and is VISTA compatible, but freewarefiles hasn't updated those features, so go to www.avast.com to download the best FREE antivirus EVER,AVAST!

holy crap!!! wow i looked at the reviews and was 100% sure not to download AVG. I took the advice from many people and downloaded AVAST! And it works excellent!
