"Too Many Bugs"
2.0.0.193 version is filled with problems and can become very unstable. I do not recommend using it until they release the next update or two, to see if they have resolved the 'buggy' issues.
Version 1.9.3.142 is still the most stable version (be sure to check that you want to update the *database only* - not the program version as well. It is very persistent about forcing you to upgrade to the latest 2.0.0.193 version, which is poorly designed and has many bugs).
This is the best version to date:
1.9.3.142 (download link here)
http://www.spywareterminator.com/dnl/files/28/SpywareTerminator.exe
I use this every day and so far I haven't had any problems. by: etalmar | 3 | 2007-09-12 |

"Good ... but"
Spyware Terminator 2.0.0.193
This newest version now automatically adds a right-click context menu item - "Scan With Spyware Terminator" whenever you
right-click on any file or folder. You cannot disable this option, so I have decided not to use this program until the author offers a way to disable this intrusive item.
I try to keep my context menu clean and simple, but I'm noticing that more and more program authors, such as the one who makes Spyware Terminator, are putting right-click options in your context menu without even telling you that they are doing so! If that isn't bad enough, they do not offer you any way to remove it, other than completely deleting their program, which I have done. by: etalmar | 2 | 2007-08-14 |

"Must-have"
I was using Windows Defender, but on dial-up it just demanded to get updates too often so tried this great program. It has more usefulness than Windows defender IMHO. A very good added defense layer for your computer by: Alistair | 5 | 2007-08-11 |

"for free excellent"
using. spysweeper. outpost pro firewall and antivir (have to pay for the best protection) this is probably with the best protection against spyware - for more protection I advice avg and outpostfree firewall (if you want more advice about this, look at http://www.techsupportalert.com/best_46_free_utilities.htm by: joeres | 5 | 2007-07-30 |

"1.9.2.142"
As I stated previously, the basic spyware/real time monitor works well.. but there seems to be a bug when integrating Clam AV into/with real-time monitor (it inexplicably and unexpectantly starts running [clam.exe] and the only way to know this ,besides hearing it, is Task Manager Processes CPU usage-- it doesn't show as a running Application /scan??)-- take it out of integrated monitoring and this phenomenon ceases. But integrating Clam with basic Spyware database scanning only seems to be fine as is its updates. Since i primarily wanted the real-time spyware monitoring feature , this is no big deal to me but a continuing indication that this program is best kept slim and thus very good. by: mweizor | 4 | 2007-07-02 |

"Latest versions come with Crawler Toolbat"
During install the user is given the option to skip the Toolbar. However, after install and scan with A-Squared Free the toolbar files and registry keys are still found--and as such is labeled as spyware. Until Crawler corrects the situation I do not recommend use of this program. A-Squared Free, AdAware, and Removeit Pro4 are better choices at this time. by: jealex2@gmail.com | 2 | 2007-06-18 |

"v- 1.9.2.142"
This release(non-Web Guard option) is stable on my 2Kpro; the addition of the HIPS Install Mode when installing/running programs not already in HIP is a great feature opposed to having to approve/save a litany of permission requests and the real-time monitors the procedure; no full-scan freeze ups and no ISP memory tampering-- all the problems I had with other versions. With fast scan, install monitoring, timely updates and barring any unforeseen probs, THIS version is what I was looking for. Fantastic. by: mweizor | 5 | 2007-06-15 |

"1.9.2.142"
As is noted, this is a version without the Web Guard which I opted out of before in previous releases and I think was a cause of of erratic problems(as if it could not accept me opting out). This slimmed down wersion is less involved to install and generally has a better flow about it . I opted for just the Spyware/real-time protection install(the Clam anti-virus feature can be opted-in later if so desired). These refreshing allterations bode well, but remain to be seen with testing time-- therefore the rating of 3 , for now. by: mweizor | 3 | 2007-06-14 |

"Almost too good"
This program is TSR that remains active and will scan your system for spyware. Can be set to update antispyware database automatically. Unfortunately, it does generate some false positives (like a legitimate Geneology program). A good tool to have in the arsenal, though. by: dmaster | 4 | 2007-06-09 |
