"Avast best complete AV suite minus firewall"
Comodo AV comes bundled with Ask Toolbar = Spyware for the most complete avast has anti-rootkit or a web shield you don't get these important security features with Comodo even AVG does not have rootkit protection . Amor Firewall or Comodo Firewall work great with Avast (install one firewall only) although Amor Firewall is lighter (uses less system resources) . by: Coneman | 5 | 2009-07-10 |

"Comodo Antivirus Free best"
Although probably best known for its firewall, Comodo offers other free applications including this powerful anti-virus product. The software has all the features you'd expect to see including real-time and on-demand scanning, email protection and regular automatic updates. It also has HIPS (Host Intrusion Prevention Scheme), which is a firewall-like feature designed to block malware before it can install or run. You can adjust the security level this operates at, although the default Medium setting will be fine for most people.

"More complete & uses less ram tha AVG"
Avast has improved alot over the years i just wish they would ditch the dated look media player interface for a more cleaner one such as NOD 32 or AVG without any add banners. by: Review Bill | 5 | 2009-06-22 |

"Average at best"
Slow 4 hours 35 mins for a full scan using Avast while Avira full scan 2 hours 35 mins, . Almost as slow as Norton and you need to put in a stupid registration number every year to use free version while all other free AV give you one automatically and you don't need to give them your email address to receive spam if you don't want to.
AVG is much easier to use but the best is Avira AntiVir.
Once you do download a virus using Avast in my case win32 and spyware, it took me 16 hours to remove the virus and spyware. Once you download a virus that eats up your RAM, good luck trying to remove it. You're almost better off reformatting your hard drive and starting over. Avast has a long way to go in order to compete with the top rated AV programs.

"Yahoo Answers, Limewire, interpretation"
Naturally all anti-virus software (except for Clamwin) have real-time protection of the computer system (Avast included), but I think the point was that Avast has added a special module called p2p shield with Limewire among other p2p programs included, which gives an extra protection.
In Alwils own words: The P2P protection module doesn't need much explanation - today's P2P networks (such as Kazaa) contain potentially thousands of infected files, and effective protection is essential.
