When you put Garbage in you get Garbage out in computer software.
Firefox 3.x reminds me of how bloated Netscape was around version 7.x. Sad as this was the best on the market with the version 2.x series.
We ran some tests on this versus IE 8 beta x. IE8 beta runs faster and is more lightweight compared to this version of Firefox.
A friend was showing me how he was able to open 40 tabs at once. Was great watching him do a system restore an hour later :)

I upgraded from 3.04 to 3.05. Never noticed any outward differences. Looks like just security upgrades mainly.
Whoever said this program crashes - is a LIAR. Just as stable as ever, no problems.

"Pretty good"
Pros:
- Free!
- Looks great!
- Firefox safemode is easy.
- Nice featureset
Cons:
- Does seem to crash more than version 2
- Faster loading pages, but slower with multiple tabs open (checking for malicious websites, maybe?)
- Uses a lot of mem/processor time with several tabs open
Over all, my fav, but there is strong competition from Google Chrome, Safari, Opera, Browzar (portable tabbed browser that cleans up as soon as you exit it, & only uses 216 k space), & even Internet Explorer 8 has gotten to be fairly stable (imagine that?).
I would install IE 8 just to add pop-up blocking & patch a few IE holes, but I would use Firefox or Google Chrome.
filehippo is an excellent site to still get the 2 series of firefox. Be sure to go to tools/options/advanced/updates under firefox, & disable auto updates...

i used to like this browser and to be fair its still good, but with each update it seems to be getting slower and could do with loosing a few pounds as its getting a bit bloated. no doubt, increased security will be the culprit, so its a fair trade. but its a lot more cpu hungry.

"Fast customizable browser"
Actually I wanted to give 4.5 points but I couldn't. I use it for a long time - crashes are rare - and u can get back where u where. While working very fast - slow start - portable is a bit better. I like addons - downloadstatusbar, language interface switch, internet explorer motor usage (is necessary), Down(load)ThemAll, FlagFox, Foxmarks. Honestly it took much time to find/install them, but I'm grateful for this project. Opera was faster igniting but less functional and customizable. Though looking forward to Google Chrome (now beta).
