"getting better"

the 2.2 version is better with sum bugs taken out. the reg fixer is quicker as is the defrag. as other people have said though, to get the best from it you need to understand what you are doing and poss conflicts with other programs. the correct way is using a number of small programs if you have the time to do that. if you dont then you need to know what changes you are making with this one and it dosent give much detail on that. to put your faith in one program to optmise your system is a big ask, and i dont think its possible to be honest. but if you are doing that then get the best from it..

"their Betas, thus far"

Firstly, I'm likely not gonna try this program again (until it's out of Beta) because as a Beta release --- experimental/still developing --- for it to not readily inform as to what the update is is not only stupid it's insulting. ( so it gets an 1 )

My only question as to it "blindly" doing something is its Ultra Optimize feature --- I can't review that (a log, at least?)

Hitting its One-click-fix, yeah, that's "blind" but at least one can review and opt out before actuation.

This doesn't "replace" anything I have; it may overlap or augment but I use bits and pieces of the program --- example: I use its immunizing feature though I also use another one as well.
(I have the last version-2 release [2.7.1.840] but I don't use it much except to update the database: the optimize settings, I already went through that so I don't need it; I run the registry and file cleaner once in a while --- again, that's overlap)

The thing about the version-3 releases is that they are incorporating new features and some that were reserved for it pay-for "pro" offering.
These are what I was looking at and how they operate on my OS and system configuration.

Lastly, as an aside, it use to have one's present setting as well as the path in its Optimize System suggestions, not just 'we suggest this'. That's less helpful, too.

"blindly adjust settings"

The problem with this program, like in many other "all in one" tweaking applications, is that it's blindly adjust settings that may not suit to every need. Some of the tweaks here may be usefull, some may not. Some may even reduce performance...
If you really want to optimize your system you should understand what each tweak is doing and then decide for yourself if you need it or not.
This is why i'll never use this kind of program.

"read mweizor review"

i would have a look at mweizor review a few pages back and pay attention. its not a magical all in one program as that dosent exist yet. i had tune up utilities (full version) when i first started using my pc as it seemed a good idea at the time! however when you get used to your pc, you will find that theese programs are quickly replaced with a number of small programs that give you better control and adjustment to your system. i find this one is ok and it is better than t.up util. but as many have commented, i also use it along with revo uninstaller and a few others. its not a bad product but dont put your total faith in it and watch those settings.

"Idiots"

This doesn't say it can replace a good set of other tools, i still use avast, zone alarm, ccleaner, A squared and others along with this. It helps, trust me.

"auto tune up? no-no..."

how can someone trust an automatic tune up program that doesn't even tell you what exactly its doing?
i prefer to configure services by myself and maintain my PC with dedicated programs like CCleaner (temp file cleaner), NTREGOPT (registry optimizer), JKDefrag & PageDefrag (defrag),Avast Antivirus (real time protection from viruses/spyware/rootkits)& Spyware Blaster for extra immunization.
Don't believe in those "i can do it all" applications.

"v- 3.0 Beta1.1"

On a stand-alone, dial-up pc, I had my Services set accordingly;
in this program, I set options to Daily Use (home) and Dial-up (modem);
when I ran the Optimization suggestion feature its Network Connection suggested setting list had a bunch of LAN/Network settings --- I didn't select any;
Yet after a reboot , as Windows loaded, a looong pause on Preparing Network Connection and eventual hung pc;
I restarted to Safe Mode, went to Admin.Tools> Services;
found that both DNS Client and TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper had been changed to automatic;
changed them both back to either manual or disable> rebooted, all is well.
Those 2 Services were not even on the suggestion list.
I have no Autos- enabled but do have Entertainment Boost and Ultra Optimizion enabled --- is that what got it wrong? Should I have selected Basic?

Some of its terminology (Basic?, Dial-up?) and some of its Service suggestion and or their settings needs revamping as too the mysterious Service changings.
I know it's a Beta but it's a bad beta.
