"Back4Win (Free) - Simply the Best"
I needed an easy to use back-up utility to create CD or DVD sized spanning archives in a standard format. In other words, 10 years from now, I didn't want to need the original back-up software to open the archives. (I've been programming computers since 1980; this is a HUGE issue many people don't consider.) Back4Win creates spanning ZIP archives, with or without compression, of volumes, directories, or files selected with a point & click interface. A monkey could use it, which is the hallmark of great software. You hit the "New Zip" button, select the data to back-up, and burn the resulting zip files to CD or DVD. And it's FREE!!! Now if only my IT department at work would buy Back4WinXP ... by: D. Hughes | 5 | 2004-03-21 |

"Back4Win (Freeware)"
Dear Sirs:
I was not satisfied at all. The first time I used it, it lost 3 of my most important files. Not being one to throw in the towel. I am going to try the XP version. I very much liked the programs structure and ease of use, if I can keep it from losing my files.
Regards,
Cliff

"Back4Win an outstanding adjunct"
Just wanted to say thanks for an excellent and needed program. Microsoft included DZIP32.DLL, DUNZIP32.DLL, and ZIPFLDR.DLL in its WindowsME OS edition which offers zip/unzip and compressed folder capability, but there is no program that allows copying/spanning to more than one floppy disk. While many folder's files can be divided into groups that will fit on a single floppy disk, there are always a few indivisible individual files whose size exceeds that of floppy disk capacity. For those of us who have relatively small backup requirements, floppy disks offer adequate and cost effective capacity. Back4Win certainly facilitates backup tasks with considerably less time spent planning, organizing, and processing a small size backup. by: Robert A. Joss | 5 | 2004-02-25 |

"Can I promote your product -- back4win"
Hi,
I am currently making a cd which contains hundreds of freewares that I download from the internet, and there's a list of description of those freewares. It's like a promotion of your products and website; We promise we won't make any money on your software, all we charge is the handling fees, shipping fees, and our long list of freewares. I am just wondering will you allow me to put your freewares (back4win) into my cd? Thx in advance.
