"Firefox Rocks!"
I have no idea why so many people have a problem with Firefox. I installed the FF-RC when it came out and never had a problem. I installed the final version and have never had a problem. I don't get crashes or lockups caused by Firefox. When I get a rare crash it's due to another software or hardware problem which I quickly fix. I've actually had more problems with Opera than any browser I've ever used. I tried to like Opera but it was just too slow for me. Even IE has been better for me than Opera and Safari. Yes Safari is fast but so is FF3. To me the difference in speed between Safari and FF3 is negligible. Some people hate Vista saying they've had a lot of problems. I for one love Vista and don't have these problems others are claiming to have with Vista and FF3. I think a lot of problems may be easily traced to sloppy PC's. I've tried just about every browser out there but always go back to using FF. As far as add-ons, I don't need but a few and they all work fine. Most if not all browsers have security problems, so that's not a unique problem. Although I believe FF to have fewer problems than others claim. Well that's just my two cents worth. by: dekebro | 5 | 2008-08-24 |

"CPU problem"
Love the 3.0 browser, hate the CPU chatter up to 60% coming and going every 15 secs even when not doing anything.
Looks like back to 2.15 unless someone knows how to stop it. by: davo | 3 | 2008-07-17 |

"Not Yet"
Needs more work, I removed it until it has the same add on acceptance as 2. I liked the look but it wouldn't accept some of the features I used in 2. by: richardmc37 | 3 | 2008-06-24 |

"Not as good as 2.xxx"
The lst FF version 2.xxx was workable and did the job. I really like the effective pop-up blocker and chance to "kill it" if you suspect a virus being downloaded to you while browsing. BUT I don't like the auto-fill location bar and there's no way to turn it off. I despise software that throws guesses at me when I know exactly what I want. I'm going to look at opera. I made the mistake of addon Flashgot and discovered you couldn't remove the addon's. Easy to addon, impossible to remove. Also FF hides where it puts the FLV from youtube, so you can't save them. BUT anything is better than I-explorer which didn't protect my machine at all.

"Addons, always addons..."
FF is bad! You constantly need to look for addons and spend a t least 2-3 hours trying them before choosing between the 20 different addons for the same functionnality.
Nothing is included in this browser! It has NO special feature at all!
So If you want a good, all-in-one browser go for Opera! (it is the most secured windows browser btw...)
It has built in:
- Speech recognition and speech synthesis
- Mouse gestures (100% configurable)
- Instant preview (without install) of skins, extensions, toolbar buttons, configs, widgets, panels, directly from the internet
- Bit Torrent client
- Email client
- Chat client
- Windows and tab manager
- Multithreaded connection for downloads and webpages
- Content blocker
- AutoURL finder (configurable)
- MyOpera community (blog, photo sharing, website hosting, etc)
- Synching of bookmarks, and settings between all Opera version (including mobile phone version)
- Works on 9 different Operating systems (much more than any other)
- Speed Dial (Costum homepage with 9 configurable direct website access)
- Configurable handling of extension (download, autodownload, open with app, send URL to app (for example for mp3, it can send the url diretly to Windows Media player for stream play instead of downloading it before)
- Many other features... by: qwertzguy | 1 | 2008-06-21 |
