so here's the story. WMP 11 is even less appealing to me than WMP 10. why? a few key reasons:
(1) everything is more incorporating with the CD cover. i am particularly bothered by the dumb pictures which come up in the WRONG spots, or not at all.
(2) the computer i'm using it on doesn't have the internet, so i can't get the cover images anyhow.
(3) the library is arranged really stupidly. there is no way (that i know of) to take the sorting out of GROUPS. this bugs me. whatever happened to a good old plain LIST???
(4) same complaint as WMP 10...i ALWAYS sort my files by title, alphabetically. WMP ALWAYS sorts by artist. even when i set it to title, close it for 2 seconds, and re-open, it defaults back to stupid "artist." (if anyone has a solution, PLEASE let me know:

(4) case in point? nothing new, nothing amazing, and nothing any more functional than the last. i suggest winamp, honestly. =D

Player 11 much better than 10,
Have played many videos and music
did not freezes at all.
Have had no trouble with this player.
Also this player 11 can be rolled back and uninstalled if you know how to do that.
If it not working right on your computer maybe it your computer
and not the player.
I'm running Xp with SP2 and it is
running awesome.

"Excellent"
WMP 11 is nicely done. It takes less resources and looks great, especially via activex. I use it to play DVDs and realplayer files (thanks to K-Lite Mega Codec Pack) and for the rest I have VideoLAN. :)

Very buggy program. Dosent work right. MP 10 is better. Also this will not uninstall or do a rollback. I really regret installing this. Dont download!

Even worse than wmp 10. I didn"t think that could be possible but then look who makes it so it's typical. It's beta so thats the excuse for the video freeze ups and lockups so you need to use ctr-alt-del to access the task manager to kill this gem so you can get on without rebooting. Also sound is crap and looks like crap. Get free jet player or anything but this. Thanks for yet more garbage microsoft...Only a noob would rate this a 5 star program. I would give it a zero if I could.

User interface is a lot more user friendly,basicly has all the functionality of WMP10 without the clutter and the focus less on text and more on album art makes it more pleasurable to use,the menu layout is great as well ,and as for the skin it's ok tho using downloadable skins from MS or Wincustomise goes along way

I just installed this, decided to remove it, and wow! There must have been over a dozen entries in the Add/Remove programs menu. Entries such as 14572293 (aswell as WMP) - took a few re-boots to get rid of it... beware.
