"not impressed"
It is ok, I suppose, but then again, that is not enough.
Not better than the previous version, and that says a lot! by: BenQ | 1 | 2006-11-10 |

"Best of the latetst and greatest"
Combined with the HUGE extension set, additional security and actual browsing speed, this is a better browser than Microsoft's IE7. However, I would recommend that anyone using IE6 to upgrade to IE7 to gain an additional level of security (even when using the Fox). I used AVANT for 3 years prior to switching to the latest version of this outstanding Mozilla offering. AVANT (on top of IE7) would be my second choice. by: dmaster | 5 | 2006-11-07 |

"Proxy Server?"
Downloaded FF 2.....and went back to Firefox 1.5.
FF 1.5 had TOOLS/OPTIONS/CONNECTIONS where one could select DIRECT or PROXY connection. FF 2 has lost this.
What happened? My FF 2 can't connect to server.

"Back to 1.5"
I Have been Using Firefox for years now, and was excited to see this new version. But since I have installed it, I get lock-ups, errors and shut downs every 20 minutes or so. The Browser has some major bugs so Im back to the older but MUCH more stable 1.5, having no problems with Firefox since i went back to the older version. by: Jeff | 2 | 2006-10-30 |

"Best Browser In The World"
Mozilla Firefox 2.0 is the one I have been waiting for…
Before I used SeaMonkey, but after almost a week now, i`am impressed, very impressed.
This is the best so far from Mozilla.org.
What I noticed!
Totally fast.
Totally stabile
Totally versatile
Totally beautiful
In over a week now, I had no hangups, no locking phenomenons, and no freezes.
It’s been so far a real pleasure to surf the net with this super browser.
I will stick to Firefox from now on.

"Great, but I am sticking with v1.5.0.7 till I get my extensions compatible!"
Pros: Its a seriously better upgrade than the bloody moronic IE7. Also, it remains the best browser for newbies.
And hey the spell check is not a big deal. I have been using Google Toolbar SpellCheck all this while. So it isn't a serious upgrade for savvy users.
Cons: For people who have customized the browser with their set of extensions - they wouldn't wanna change to the latest release, because of incompatibility issues. However, I wanna point out that this is NOT Firefox or Mozilla's problem. The extensions have been made by you and me kinda people, and it is on to them to upgrade it. Too bad, too sad, but you do still have the option of sticking with yer 1.5.0.7
The only other con remains - Opera still is the best - however, it cannot be our main browser, because of webpage incompatibility issues.

"Great Upgrade! A+++"
This program is simply the best. To me it's amazing how they can outperform Microsoft and build a better mouse trap. I'll never go back to using IE. I'm a fan for life. by: mfcarpino | 5 | 2006-10-24 |

Ehm, Flock is build upon Firefox technology, so how can you give FF only a 1? I do not understand your logic, but never mind.
I love the spell checking in FF2.
And I just have to wait for some extensions to be updated for FF2.
But all together - its great. by: MAD | 5 | 2006-10-23 |

"Great!"
Currently, Firefox is only consuming 40MB of memory; on par with Opera tab for tab. (You cannot compare its memory consumption to IE which hides its allocations in the operating system.)
Firefox is still slow to load but everything else is snappy. It has spell check BUILT IN! I am not fond of the new icons but that can be fixed by installing another theme.
I cannot wait for all my favorite extensions to update to the new version. I am using this version as my primary browser now. by: guy | 5 | 2006-10-08 |
