Having installed Avast on computer i found it performed well having only missed 1 worm (mp3 file) and 1 trojan although it was disabled in Windows Services.Nod 32 online scanner detected trojan file and KAV online scanner detected worm in mp3.

I've used Avast for a long time & think it's a great free AV,but that interface is painfully ugly to say the least. If they would revamp the interface I would give it 5 stars. I know it wouldn't affect the AV performance,but they could make it look a whole lot better IMO.

Avast found 3 viruses and Norton found none. I have always found Norton to be a big hype. I had no other choice to have Norton, It came with the new computer. I would advise anyone to download Avast over Norton hands down.
