The terms of service have been re-written. It's true that Google tracks everything it can. In short, if you've done a Google search, you're in the Google database. That's one way Google can give such relevant information. Google Chrome offers many keyboard shortcuts which can be seen at http://www.google.com/support/chrome/bin/answer.py?answer=95743
Google Chrome was designed from the ground up to be more than a browser by being able to run internet applications such as Google word processor and spread sheet applications better than Opera, Firefox, IE7, IE8 or Safari. by: mjdemontigny | 5 | 2008-09-07 | | | | "Fastest ever Internet Browser"
I've been using Internet Explorer and Firefox 3 but when this Google Chrome release last Sept 2 I shifted to this.
The security is really been too high unlike IE which annoying me of pop-up windows. And even Firefox which runs too slow.
I think is the real future of Internet Browsing. It was a copycat of Firefox. They have similar features, not wondering because one of the creator of Chrome was a former programmer of Firefox (earlier version) by: Jake | 4 | 2008-09-06 | | | | "!!"
That's not a Browser, it's f...... Spyware ! Shame on you Google !!! by: Human | 1 | 2008-09-06 | | | | "6/9/08"
I've been using this browser almost non stop for the past two days. This browser does everything that I can do with IE and Firefox, but faster. It hasn't missed a beat. I'm very impressed. Using windows xp. by: don | 5 | 2008-09-06 | | | | "calling home to google"
after installing this little piece of garbage, i noticed that it regularly sends data to google. i don't know what it sends, but those data packages are more than suspicious. also i don't like the fact that it downloads the installer files. strangewise it searches my whole system disk before it downloads the installer files. just to gather some system information for the needed files? no way! there's something going on that google doesn't let us know. by: spybuster | 1 | 2008-09-06 | | | | ""
Best Browser out there by: | 5 | 2008-09-06 | | | | "Googly"
Its a nice browser, I mean, I like how the tabs operate as separate browsers so if one freezes, the other tabs still operate. That is a great feature. However, as soon as Firefox knocks-off the new features that Google implemented, Firefox will continue to dominate the quality element of browser application market. After all, Google is just another megacorp just trying to dominate various markets in spite of their partners. Do we really want to trade one monopoly for another (IE to Google)? No thanks. by: extrap | 3 | 2008-09-04 | | | | "Too Beta"
At first it was pretty darned good, it ran extremely fast. However after trying to use it to do 'real' browsing, it quickly became evident how beta it really is. It locks up frequently and sometimes just stops working, which requires a restart to get it going again. I personally like the minimalistic approach, but I will wait until the next release before I replace Firefox as my browser of choice. by: Darkehorse | 3 | 2008-09-04 | | | | "behind your back"
Installation is run by a web-installer. So you don't know what it's actually downloading and installing to your harddisk. Installs into your user directory without asking. Creates a registry entry to run "GoogleUpdate.exe" on startup without asking. In order to use it, it demands you to submit the acception of the fact that you give them all rights for all data that you transmit through their services. I consider it not trustworthy. Maybe they abuse Open Source to gain users' trust. But I suppose the web-installer installs something completely different than the source code they make public. by: Anti-Google | 1 | 2008-09-04 | | | | "Very good"
Great browser, haven't expirienced any problems with it on any of the websites. Unaccessible bookmarks when bookmarks bar is off is a bit troublesome though. by: Me | 5 | 2008-09-04 | | | | "For a beta it's, well, awful..."
I was really looking forward to running Google's Chrome beta. So, I downloaded it, installed it and... nothing. It wouldn't even launch. I downloaded and installed it again. Same result. So, at least in its beta form, Chrome is -- from my perspective -- a complete dud. Hopefully, when it emerges from beta, it will work much, much better. by: CharlieOrlando | 1 | 2008-09-03 | | | | "don't forget that it is only a beta version..."

Before downloading or using Google Chrome, read the EULA, part 11. Basically it says that you will give away your copyright of anything you ever send to the internet using Google Chrome. by: sheep | 1 | 2008-09-03 | | | |
