Great program. I'd like to have scheduled automatic backups and a variety of backup trees. Maybe the XP version would do that but I haven't gotten time to evaluate it. by: David B | 5 | 2003-11-12 |

"Back4Win: Why always 280 files?"
If I do two consecutive backups (newer and new, no hidden, password) to the same zip file without creating any additional files between them, it always reports that it added 280 files to the zip on the second backup. Why? Bug? And it takes a while with the disk blinking, so it really did add something. by: physics@ucsbalum.net | | 2003-10-31 |

Hello, Mr. George;
Its Ralph Jacobsen, Oct. 12, 2003.
I can't download your latest (beta) version of back4winwxp.exe,
don't know why; I'm trying to downlead it from your Oct. 3 email, using the link provided.
So, when you get a chance, could I have that version, I love this program. It helps me greatly.
Again, thank you,
Ralph Jacobsen,

"Poor UI"
ihave to admit, I like this program, and have put a considerableamountof work and rexiew into working with it. The GUI is very difficult to understan (in beginning) and the 'HELP' is terrible. There are several 'problems'(not bugs) and inconveniences which areannoying.
I am evaluationg the program, havetwo days left to use it, and haveyet been able to produce a Backup on CD-RW (no media problems)

"Authors comment"
Moi - if you are so skilled in computers to rate these programs how about being constructive and explain what is actually wrong with it? I would love to see what you have created with your obviously superior knowledge. by: Bigal - author | 5 | 2003-10-06 |

"Nice indeed"
Works very well. I hope the next version includes a more sophisticated scheduler - I need to run backup several times each day (every hour), due to company policy.
Great job!!!

"Good stuff"
I found back4win perfect for its simplicity and its reliability. If I wrote programs, these are the features I would put into it. Well done. by: early | 5 | 2003-09-29 |

"Astounding"
Absolutely the best backup software I've used in 30 years. The best part is you don't require Back4Win on other machines when reinstalling the data. Either use Winzip or the exe file utility. For the first time I now have confidence in my data backups and restoration. Thanks a million by: Wayne Drummond | 5 | 2003-09-24 |
