Other Thoughts: Lots of driver updates available, but many end up not working, or in a different language! You need to jump quite a few hoops in the freeware version to obtain said drivers (they continuously remind you everywhere that the "pro" version is much better. I also dislike having another app running in the background checking for updates for your drivers (as if they produced newer drivers all the time!). "it just gets worse"

Other Thoughts: Drivermax is one of those programs that went from good, to average, to bad in the last few months.I havent been able to download a driver from it in the last "6" times i have used it. There website does highlight this problem but its worse than they make out. i also do not like how intrusive it has became. in my last attempt to download a driver it said i could not continue until i filled out my profile which required my email and home address. that was the last straw that finally made me hit the uninstall button. The program has also became buggy and unresponsive and has froze on a few occasions and required the task manager to shut it down. Its function is simple, to update drivers. that aint much good if it cant download them in the first place. its a shame as it used to be a handy program but based on recent performance its not worth the bother.Was this review helpful? 31 out of 66 users found this review helpful.

Other Thoughts: Managed to use the evaluation version ok, but when I tried to set up an account the server timmed out, when I eventually did get my free reg. key it reported as being invalid - A complete waste of time.

Other Thoughts: This is a gem! Before re-installing Windows, I just backuped my drivers from my system. Don't had to find out where I can get the drivers. Sometimes the system even doesn't display which device it needs a driver for. Then the device is unknown. With this little software no problem! Other Thoughts: thanks rsherry i did what you said and your spot on. used this program and it goes into my top 5 freeware programs of all time. an easy to use "essential program". with all the virus problems surrounding windows a good up to date driver folder for back up is required. good for techs and easy for begginers. good bit of freeware..Was this review helpful? 32 out of 66 users found this review helpful.
