| "Old Data" The pics of my area where taken 15 plus years ago. I have two houses, and one was thriving with trees, not the barron farm land it is now. Would like to see a more current setting, with REALLY close up pics.

| "Great program!" I find Google Earth to be really useful in helping with route planning. I've never had a problem with it personally,works fine for me.

| "Love it" If the speed of it could be boosted up a little it would be perfect. The only other things I wish that i didnt have to wait a year for new pics. To bad the photograpy couldnt be updated more. The thing that would really make this program sweet is live video. With all the traffic cams and science satellites it could be done

| "Update" Take my review back. This program is pretty good. It takes a while to get the hang of it.
There is a lot to be improved on. Most buildings look flat and lack depth. Bottom line: a good FREE download.

| "awesome" Not all areas are covered in high resolution because the photos
are EXTREMELY expensive to buy
for large areas and in some cases
are not available at all yet. just a couple square miles can run in the thousands of dollars depending on the resolution.
Google did not create this product
originaly, they bought it from a company called Keyhole.
Most of the images were taken
between 2001 and 2005.
The higher altitude images are satellite. the lower ones are
"air photos' taken from planes and helicopters.

Will not get closer than 5,000 feet altitude.;
I guess I am missing something here. The closest I can get to viewing my location is an alt. of 5,000 ft.
Any closer and it just enlarges the pixels instead of giving more detail. This seems to be a very much a work in progess. Something that seems to be happening a lot lately with Google.
