"earth alerts 2009.1.4"

website here needs to make a correction, saying it requires microsoft net.framework 2.0. program requires 3.5,during install it will tell you that before you can install program.very nice program and useful, gives you alerts from other areas plus you add your area and has a nice weather feature better than any weather program.plus its free, hard to believe its free with so much into this great program.thank you.

"not very useful"

Might be useful if it wasn't restricted to US but then again what's my browser for?

"It's clean"

It's not infected. VirusTotal.com reports that 1 of 36 AV programs found possible malicious code and AVG is not one of them.

The AV program referenced is VBA32. Obviously, a false-positive when you consider AVG, Avast, Norton, McAfee, Trend, and several other reputable companies reported the file as clean.

"Good"

Could be simplified a bit.

All you really need are an alerts buttons (view alerts) options (change settings) & help button.

Don't need all that other mess up there.

Hope the author "cleans" it up a bit, then it will be superb.

"Potential"

A bit unstable yet the program has potential. Locked up a few times while retrieving data and crashed one time destroying my settings. The program gave me headaches but I still liked it. (go figure)

"Needs help"

The GUI is terrible. Can't get the full GUI to appear. Can't enter any location settings. No help file.

In all fairness the concept is excellent, the price is right and the developer deserves credit for his labors but, the proggie has a long way to go.

"I love it, a must have"

I have been using Earth Alerts ever since the tsunamis hit Asia. Anyone who lives in a risk area, be it earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes or volcanoes should install this program and pay diligent attention to it. It is very accurate and could be a life saver. Thank you so much for this program, it is a complete program, completely free and malware free, it is great.
