Spyware Terminator 2.8.2
Pros: it saved me from having to redue my laptop ounch so i use it Cons: it locks up my laptop somtimes when i load it fomr start . and sometimes it whont let me load a program . Other Thoughts: if u have that problum i just tell it when u install it to just scan for spyware and dont bother with aneything eils and make sure that it dont load on startup . bring it up yourself do the scan and shut it down . Other Thoughts: for those who don't know there are to versions of this program a 32-bit v.2.7 and a 64-bit v.2.8 which is still in beta to be release at a later date.the 32-bit which i downloaded because as mentioned the 64-bit is still in beta and as the site says it still has bugs to work out in particular with the clam av. the 32-bit does not allow me to install the clam av. as far as system performance for me there was no change.the toolbar if you have need of it integrates with ie.and ff. rather well.and is customizable.the program itself has a lot to offer from scheduling scans to real time shield to online support which opens at least for me in a ie browser i rather it open in my default browser however i did have a issue with the system tray icons that i couldn't resolve one was a red x on the main icon in the system tray the other a icon for which i think had something to do with updating the program which after installing the recommended updates would still be present in my system tray.still i'll think i'll wait for the 64-bit since that is what i'm running and try this program again. hopefully with better results. "Excellent If Used Properly"

Other Thoughts: This is probably the best Spyware/Virus protection you are going to find with real time shields. But there are a few things you need to know before using this program that I figured out on my own which I will share with you in this review.
1st - This program will slow down your computer considerably "DEPENDING ON WHICH FIREWALL YOU USE FOR YOUR COMPUTER". I use Windows 7 firewall control with Vista home basic and it makes a big difference with the performance of this program. On the other hand I have tried PCtools firewall plus with this program and it slowed everything down.
2nd - You should allow it to add the Clam Anti virus addition to this program and use it for virus protection if you are using free protection for that. There is a file that I checked with Virus Total that "AVAST" simply does not detect or stop, it's a trojan virus. Spyware terminator stops it totally.
3rd - If you use Firefox and or IE, you should install the Crawler Toolbar, you can set it up to where the only thing shown or ran on the toolbar is the Web Security Guard. It is the best security toolbar there is. Even if you don't use Spyware Terminator you should go to their site and download and use the Crawler Toolbar IMO.
This is just advice, and my experience with this program. Spyware Terminator is the best free antivirus/malware/spyware protection you can use IMO. But it's very important that you know how to use it. If your system seems to slow down with any antivirus/spyware protection programs you install, check to make sure it's not scanning every activity the Firewall is monitoring.

Other Thoughts: This anti-spyware program is good but i liked the older version better. It didn't had so many pop-ups like the new version's interface. Yes, it does remove spyware/malaware witch Antivirus or other antispyware programs does not detect, but unfortunatelly this program can give sometimes some REALLY HUGE false detections. There were a few well-know majore programs i've used and it aways detected some of they're components as "Trojan" and everytime i've deleted the files with ST the programs ceased to function, the programs were not infected, but even so ST stil sayd they're infected with a trojan. Other Thoughts: Had a problem with windows explorer closing then restarting now and then using the computer. Download this program, ran a full scan which found threats not even my payed antivirus program with malware and spyware protection could find.
