I am not a fan of this program for many reasons but my main gripe is the amount of false positives with generic descriptions it generates.
when i scanned my pc the oes was only 2days old after a format and i know it was 100% clean yet this program found 21 infections which were all wrong.
The description was the same for all (generic trojan) which is a bit like saying my car is a ford!!
Call me a cynic but it looks like scare tactics to upgrade to pro version and i hate that.
The interface is useless and looks like it was designed by a 10yrld on a zx spectrum ,it will look great on vista or 7 :)
It also tries to pin itself to your start menu which baffles me as there is no realtime protection and updates are manual so once installed i would uncheck the "start with windows option".
Scans are fast though and it has a quick scan option.
The only reason it scores a 2 is based on its removal and it should only be used as a removal tool and nothing else.
Otherwise i would avoid it.

Use this program and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware freebie, maybe throw in ComboFix, and you should be good to go.

This program is not perfect, but it sure did save my hide when Webroot Spysweeper, + Lavasoft Adaware, + Spybot Search & Destroy couldn't...
Anywho, it found & removed the pesky varmit!
Now, for anyone who hates how those drop down boxes always seem to get stuck, such as in rate this a 1,2,3,4 or 5, the answer is... click on it & arrow key down (keyboard works good for this).
Use the enter key if ya have to (on sites like interface lift!)

SUPERAntiSpyware Free 4.25.0.1002 Beta would not run after install (XP Pro). When I attempted to update the definitions database after install, the progie started a DSL upstream run that I could not stop. I was getting error messages that the "Program was locked by the system". Trying to stop the progie with Task Manager proved ineffective and I could not kill the progie or stop the DSL upstream run. My only alternative was a hard reset and to unistall the Beta version. I cleaned up the registry and re-installed the previous SASWF version (4.24.0.1014) and all was well in Windows world!
