|  | | | "Terrible"
I use COMODO products, but this is terrible, it doesn't even look like a genuine COMODO product. Don't bother downloading it. by: AzzY | 1 | 2008-10-25 | | | | "BOClean"
It catches more malware during software installation than any other security product I've used. by: J | 5 | 2008-09-09 | | | | "does any comodo product work right?"
a typical comodo product. buggy, unstable dosent install or uninstall correctly and runs like a 3 legged dog on a frozen pond. by: stuart | 1 | 2008-08-16 | | | | "BOClean 4.27"
Finally got rid of Zlob which had been driving me crazy. An absolute MUST have! by: plugport | 5 | 2008-07-18 | | | | "v- 4.27"
On 2kpro, the initial update screen, after install, still doesn't show (my firewall traffic told me what it was doing) --- after boot up, the updater shows ok.
In its tray icon menu, select 'Configure BOClean'... the defaults are fine , for me --- though, I'd recommend unchecking the "Do NOT show startup scan screen", for a while, so you can see what and when it scans.
I think it's not complex, it's not conflicting with what I have, and, I don't have to dubiously "recall".
It's small, unobtrusive and effective.
But it does have some very minor menu/ window display overlap issues.
Why does it have to briefly scan every time I close the tray menu?
3.5 or 4 rating, so far. by: mweizor | 4 | 2008-07-18 |  | | | "Go get A2 AntiMalware..."
Used this,not bad,but if I rightly recall,'Start Up Mechanic 2X.' showed a viral history in its 'Harmful' section. by: The Vermin8tor | 2 | 2008-05-15 |  | | | "stuart"
i wouldnt rate it as a "must have" , maybe a "must have if you want problems with your op system" im always nervous with comodo programs and woud advise people who are not tech minded to give them a miss! this still needs a lot of work and would take sum time to explain. however if you know what you are doing then probably worth a go. by: stuart | 2 | 2008-05-07 | | | | "Comodo"
excellent; must have! by: rudi | 5 | 2008-04-21 |  | | | "v- 4.26"
You can view the updates at: http://www.comodo.com/boclean/supboc.html#boc426
The install went fine , until the update part;
got a couple of "blunk" sounds (or whatever your wavs may be) with an obscured pop up until the update was finished.
Restarted pc, got another "blunk" sound but no pop up, before Windows closed;
after reboot got a pop up "the file boc426.xvu is corrupted" --- redo the update;
ran the start menu> comodo updater;
got a "blunk" , no pop up but it was downloading:
after it was done, nothing happened so I just opened the program from the start menu.
Soo, now it's ok --- tray icon and all.
Reviewed the Configure Boclean module...
Anyhoo, it installs at 796kb.
The Boc426.exe uses about 13mb RAM and 51mb virtual memory.
Draws about 28% CPU every 8 seconds for about 1 second, on my system and with 2kpro.
I'll try it for a while, see how/if it fits my present defensive azzemblage... not sure if I like those CPU spikes or rather have lower, continual draw ,or, the program at all. by: mweizor | 3 | 2008-04-17 | | | | "to anti crapware"
a little message to anti crapware. i couldnt have put it better myself fella. comodo will always have people who swear by it, whilst the rest of us swear at it. by: rab | 1 | 2008-04-04 | | | | "BOClean"
BOClean is a great product. Just install it, set it and forget it. It runs basically unattended. You don't even know it is there. Best of all, it's free (cost was $39.95) by: wally | 5 | 2008-02-27 | | | | ""
i had no use for the program and felt it was more comodo junk by: | 1 | 2007-11-11 |  | | | "v- 4.24"
Very good program... been running it for a few months. Of the few mentioned "problems", they can be addressed and rectified via the Configuration settings. But be it as it may, I have not had any ill-affects. I particularly like its conflict-free background monitoring --- that and its small size is worth the afforded room. by: mweizer | 4 | 2007-07-18 | | | | "excellent"
it runs perfect by: tomaz | 5 | 2007-06-24 |  | | | "comodo sucks"
everything made by comodo is gargage. simply stay away and you wont regret trying it by: geek | 1 | 2007-06-20 | | | |
