Installed size: 5.3mb; free manual updates (try ~weekly)
It doesn't "run" , it "works" via your browser as HOST settings (passive protection/immunization) so sites/content in its database won't load
Mostly geared to IE engine
(I have Pale Moon, seems to just do tracking cookies-- I could be wrong, it's not clear. But it says,
"Many other programs use Internet Explorer as a default browser, or use the Internet Explorer engine to display their interface or content. So even if your browser is not listed below (e.g. Opera), SpywareBlaster will protect you in many other cases." Cons: I spent far too much time on this

Pros: This Used To Be A Good Spyware Blocker,That Used To Work With Previous Versions Of Firefox Browsers. But Since Firefox Has Been Updated Regularly This Program Does not Always Work. Cons: Took This Off My Windows 7 When Firefox Updated To Version 5. "Confused very confused"

Pros: It sat there on my computer Cons: Was it actually doing anything Other Thoughts: I'm no computer expert and for many years I have had this program on my old computer, and apart from updating it now and again it just sat there. I did occasionally get spyware, prehaps from visiting websites that one should not. Enough said.
I was about to load it onto my new computer and decided to read more about it. Now it gets confusing. First Point. If its not running in the background then how does it know if spyware is getting on to my computer. Second Point, It tells me I can take a snapshot of my computer in a clean state and revert many changes made by spyware and browser hijackers. So now I asked are the owners of this software admitting spyware and browser hijackers can still get on to my computer even thought I have this program installed.
If that's case is it really worth my while installing it,

I found this info in the Forum --- but the authors should supply this info when they freeware post new/updated versions.
If you already have this installed, the new release can not be downloaded via the program updater.
They suggest disabling all protection, uninstalling old version, then install new version.
Easy to use, immunizer, plus other related tools, free manual updates (historically, batched every 7 or 15 days).
