| "beware" I have tried to run this 3x & each time it knocks AVG8 free out & locks up computer. I have to reboot in safe mode & do a system restore & then update AVG again, strange.Have now given up & remove this programe NOTE: I am only a novice user

| "v- 3.5.0." I meant that I liked that it has an option not to download additional/adjunctive language packs (as well as other stuff)
and
IF I ever state that a program/download is malware infested, I list them.
I rated this program as good (for what it is and how it does it and how I'd use it)
IF you find a greater benefit out of it, great ; )

| "v- 3.5.0.8" While it is not in one's startup programs, it does automatically load in Services --- so it's active (about 6 to 11mb combined memory) despite not being open.
I could not kill this Process in Task Manager; I had to go to Administrative Tools> Services and Stop it then change its Property to Manual.
However, even then, if one opens the program and subsequently closes it, it will Start and remain active again until reboot.
Whether it's Started or not has nothing to do with how fast the program launches --- which is lengthy nor does it have anything to do with the rather large amount of RAM it uses (a peak of 100 to 145mb, "stablizing" to about 75 to 100mb and back up to the peak when scanning).
Its Deep scan time is acceptable and it averages about 85% CPU and matters not if my Avast resident/standard shield is active on either account.
Its Configuration module has a "no language download" and no to other things options I like --- because the only time I want it to connect to the internet is for updates (my manually) and I don't need/want the others (its Permission feature included).
If a deviant is detected , one can left-click on the entry and it will go to a web page with some info.

| "....." seriously i dont know why this isn't a major competitor in anti-spyware/virus removal. it updates more regularly than moist others and continues to find items applications like avast and avg do not pick up.
