Addition to previous post, noticed it locked my cpu at 100%
and upon reboot from the frozen everything, it hides my quick launch icons

Cons: I can never get this thing to work
Download size was correct --from the authors mirror
Gave it Kernel , registry and raw access permission
Then all I get is a frozen do nothing,
have to press the restart button Other Thoughts: Extracted zip file, as usual
I'm on XPpro sp3 32bit

Other Thoughts: GMER (XP Vista compatible) is the best free rootkit detector, although you will need to read the documentation carefully before using.So if you are the type that simply likes to press the "scan" button, then stick with Panda Anti Rootkit.(XP only))

This release now works (on 2kpro)
This is a lister of data, so you have to know what looks odd.
It'll do an initial info scan but you'll have to do a re-scan for the Malware/Rootkit (for full checked options) and AutoStarts.
-Note: click on the >>> next to Rootkit/Malware on toolbar to expand, view all tabs.
This program very much should have a help file (in general)and for its tabs that aren't as obvious -- like its CMD and Settings tabs, for example.

Other Thoughts: On Win2000pro v-5 sp4 ; I tried previous release and as with this one when i attempt to open gmer.exe it reboots my pc with that being the only effect (on Gmer's website , it says 2k compatable)... I even tried renaming gmer.exe to test.exe with same effect. .. Also an alledged conspiracy to hack a website page does not necessarily equate to the quality of the attackee's product but to the nefarious intent of the attacker.Was this review helpful? 38 out of 84 users found this review helpful.
