Other Thoughts: ya know, when you see a download listed at 501KB for an app of this ilk .. it's so efed up .. I'm not gonna even retry this...(that is the actual installer size) not the program

Pros: It has a really good detection rate. I have found viruses that other free ones such as Avast, Avira, MSI have not found. It's free, uh, kinda..... Cons: It free, but the nag screens get annoying after a while, and if that wasn't bad enough, it's really irritating to have it take you to their site by opening your browser.
It does have "Scheduled Scanning", the problem is you have to decide to tell it what to do once it's found something in a scheduled scan, which is kinda pointless to have scheduled scanning that works in this way. Other Thoughts: IMO, it's ok, but it's still lacking a lot of features, it's more of a tease to try and get you to purchase their Spyware Doctor and not really a Virus Protection solution. I would recommend using "Comodo" internet security for Firewall and Virus/Spyware protection instead of this program. Was this review helpful? 63 out of 123 users found this review helpful.

Other Thoughts: On 2kpro..
This program loads two processes: PCTAV.exe and PCTAVSvc.exe...
50% of the time, the progrom loads well... but, 50% of the time I get an error notice about PCTAV.exe (memory could not be read) resulting in no tray icon
and to a lesser occurrence, I get no error message, no tray icon and I can't start the GUI from the start menu.
But despite this, its core seems to be running (also, I azzume it's running a process / memory scan, at startup).
Beyond that, it seems good.
Installs at 30.5 mb, lowish memory use, generally I found the CPU load ok, sound scanner performance, so far seems to update about 3to4 days, the real-time guard is non-slowing.
PC Tools should inform as to what the new release constitutes.
Put a manual update in the tray icon right-click.

- Clean outlook
- With real time protection
- Nice features
- Frequent updates
- Not so heavy on the system (idle)
- completely FREE!
Cons:
quite heavy when doing a full scan.
To Developers:
Please do some improvements. This may be the topmost antivirus soon that shall bring down AVG and Avast.
