As previous reviewer noted, resetting the hosts file is NOT a major concern, as many apps attempt to add their name to the host file to attempt to load malware, while conversely "Good" apps attempt to load IP addresses to block them from installing & connecting to websites.
The quick & dirty way to totally be on the safe side, not knowing if they are bad or good, is reset the hosts file to default.
It IS a problem however, when it deletes files that are NOT malware.

The program does find & clean Malware, etc. But it will also reset the windows hosts file, and at times it finds items that are NOT malware and will delete them without first asking.

I can't believe that crappy little "antimalware" programs recieve a high rating and this reliable, great, free product from a company you really can trust to put in your machine is low.
This is not an antivirus like AVG. You just run it and scan once, to see if you got any problems. It cannot detect anything, but you should have it in case something goes wrong.
It is for sure one of my top-20 freeware.

Ugly poorly designed GUI. Still I give it a 3 rating because it did find W32/Dloader on my system.
Another mark against this program is that after it finishes scanning, if you use a hosts file, it will reformat and disable most hosts file entries and puts the term 'potentially malicious' next to them, which is very weird. In order to get your hosts file to work again, you have to remove the comments that it left.

This program does it all. It's really an outstanding piece of software to fight malicious code(software). And though I had my doubt before I tried, it convinced me totally. It is even compatible with Windows Vista when you run it as Adminstrator, else it won't connect to the maliciouscode-database. However, that still doesn't make it bad. I give it 5 start because it does what it is intend for. Great Norman...!

Worth the time . Scans for 210,177 virus definitions. Can individualize scans. Creates log NFIX. Despite that i had no infections , thus no repairs /changes , screen pops up upon completion querying to restart computer now or later for changes to take effect.. not a problem , just letting you know
