"Bad Import/Export Config System" by: mamaGuMUMA Comodo Internet Security 5.8
Pros: Nice interface. Cons: If it can't simply restore a simple set of setting files properly (by importing them), whose competent configuration is no small job even for the expert user, how can it protect me from anything? Other Thoughts: NoneWas this review helpful? 13 out of 26 users found this review helpful.

"Best Protection" by: Kas Comodo Internet Security 5.8
Pros: This is a 'Complete 3 in 1' protection: Antivirus, Firewall and Defense. Nice looking design and provide very good protection for your PC plus your peace of mind. And it is free from COMODO.
Cons: None. Other Thoughts: You can adjust the settings to suit your needs. Its user friendly. Works fine on Win7 32/64.Was this review helpful? 15 out of 32 users found this review helpful.

"v-5.8" by: mweizer Comodo Internet Security 5.8
Other Thoughts: How come all off their offerings -- Firewall, Anti-virus, and this all-in-one -- have the same download size (33.71mb)?
They never put down what the updates are in the Publishers Comments and their change log is out of date

"Good protection!" by: Studbluffin Comodo Internet Security 5.4
Pros: Good customizable options for Security.
Very strong firewall.
Graphical Interface very informative of current status when opened(Connections, Detections, etc.)
I like the Sandbox option. I know some users will not like it.
Cons: Can be difficult for less tech savvy individuals to understand(not impossible, just need to read help files) Other Thoughts: I'm a big fan of AVG and Avast, but CIS picked up problems those 2 programs did not. I'm using 64 bit version on Windows 7 without any issues. I can understand less tech savvy people not liking CIS. My fiancée does not like to fool with options and windows that can open. I installed Avast! and Malwarebytes on her Windows XP machine. NOTE: I SUGGEST ALWAYS PERFORMING CUSTOM INSTALL ON ANY FREEWARE PROGRAM! Custom install will show options of all toolbars or software added during installation. You can uncheck those options if you do not want them. Typical installs will add toolbars and software automatically! Was this review helpful? 26 out of 56 users found this review helpful.

"antivirus" by: Ronald Comodo Internet Security 5.3.175888
Pros: very good protection Cons: comodo antivirus is good but the sandbox part is a nuisance. It keeps sandboxing legitimate programs which stops them working. After updating the program the virus scanner would not work Other Thoughts: NoneWas this review helpful? 25 out of 66 users found this review helpful.

"BEST OF THE FREE!" by: Proffessor Comodo Internet Security v4.1.150349.920
Pros: This is the best of the Free Security software programs. I use it on Vista Basic and XP, which is what I have. The sandbox feature and be turned off if you don't like it, but it is useful. It's not crippled and has no nag screen. This is the way internet protection should be. They have improved greatly over the last year. This software found and removed spyware that Avast/MSI/AVIRA and all other freebies that I have tried whereas those other products didn't detect nothing. I recommend this highly! The Firewall is the absolute best compared to anything! Cons: NONE! Other Thoughts: I had tried Comodo in the past and found it a bit memory hungry. They've fixed all of that for my operating system, I can't say that it will be the same for everyone, but it's working better than commercial software that I have purchased so I have nothing but high praise for this program. It works for me and millions of others! Was this review helpful? 56 out of 110 users found this review helpful.

"Easy n powerfull" by: Inuk Comodo Internet Security v4.1.150349.920
Pros: Easy, powerfull, free.
From now on I use it for sure. Cons: I think CIS must have a "default setting" or "reset setting" if users have screw up many settings.
Firewall will be better if any outgoing/incoming allert with country flags. Other Thoughts: NoneWas this review helpful? 59 out of 111 users found this review helpful.

"Firewall install only" by: reverbfreak
Other Thoughts: I installed Comodo Firewall after uninstalling PC Tools Firewall due to low web ratings, then tried Online Armor which failed completely (locked up and failed to register my installed apps - running XP SP3 on an old Toshiba Satellite P35 3.2mhz/1GB). I liked how easy PC Tools Firewall was to use (not obtrusive), and Comodo seems to be running smoothly as well, so I'm going to give it a try and make sure it does it job (was higher rated than PC Tools for intrusion protection). Your mileage might vary but I'd stay away from Online Armor if you have an older XP machine. Perhaps it's more suited to Windows7.Was this review helpful? 55 out of 112 users found this review helpful.

"Firewall Still Good; Additional Feature Getting Difficult To Handle" by: cyberbellee
Other Thoughts: I've been using Comodo Firewall for about three years in both my notebook and desktop PCs. No issue so far whether I'm using wired or wireless network at home, in office or abroad. This latest version however is a headache.
I know by heart that the anti-virus is not yet at its prime. I ignore this option. Just like three years ago, I selected the ‘proactive security’ only. D+ and FS are in ‘safe mode’ as understandably there are applications already installed in the PC. Sandbox is ‘enabled’ by default. Lo and behold, my good old Eagletec webcam and several games won't work anymore. Function shortcuts in my notebook won’t work. It toke me two weeks of manipulating various settings before I've settle on what I may consider as best option.
The 'sandbox' is definitely in its infancy. No clear rules or choices what, why or when to put an application into sandbox. It seems to me that this release version is a wider trial/beta of this sandbox. In my opinion, you don't have to put an application in a sandbox simply because it will control, access or manipulate the setting of your battery, keyboard, etc.. It must be determine whether the threat is real. If because of insufficient information the threat can't be determined, the firewall should be sufficient enough to block it from transmitting or contacting outside. This is the way I handle Macrovision, Gamespy, Bonjour, etc. I also blocked or made to asked for approval any applications that persistently call outside for updates.
I don’t usually trust any application. That is why I will constantly remove any application that will appear in ‘My own Safe Files’ and selectively remove applications in D+ Computer Security Policy. I am not certain now whether the old version has a bug because this time if I’ll remove any application from ‘My own Safe Files’ I have to undergo the process of qualifying the application again or have to manually move them out from ‘Pending Files’ into ‘My own Safe Files’ otherwise its function will be restricted . This is I think a flawed reasoning. An application that is safe today may not remain safe forever. The application must be constantly tested or evaluated to determine if it has not been compromised.
I don’t like also the idea of trusting any software vendor based on the premise that their software is digitally signed. In previous version, I removed most of the vendors in the list and nothing will happen. Now, if I do that, I will be bombarded with so many alerts that need my attention and action. Digitally signing software or software that comes from a known or reputable vendor will not immunized the software from threat. Just recently a proof of concept was publish that will make any security application incapable of assessing future threat once it marks an application or a software as ‘safe’.
I hope these concerns of mine will be addressed in its future releases or updates. In my opinion, Comodo Firewall is still the best from among various choices.

Other Thoughts: Hi, use the CIS Cleaner tool to get rid of the V3 left-overs in directories and the registry. After that V4 installs like a breeze! Was this review helpful? 56 out of 106 users found this review helpful.
