"This old Man" says there's a worm, so there must be a worm, right? There is no reference to which program he used to scan/test the program, it's merely a statement.

Slow updates ,boring interface rate,not as good as it used to be, AVG and Avira antivir better,both scored well above Avast in latest AV comparitives test.(Aug 2007)

Don't have any viruses, so of course it did not find any. However, since it's from the same folks who write avast! anti-Virus, which I have used for several years, it just HAS to be GREAT !

Scan took about 15 minutes on my pc. My case , didn't find anything , but that doesn't mean it's not good. Small and easy on the resourses and apparently thorough with it's parameters it's a "why not , can't hurt" kinda program. For most complete scan , use it whilst offline (won't scan certain IP active files).

Not sure what he/she did, but I run avast on 5 computers and I found it to be better than others including McAfee & Norton. NEVER deleted a file before asking.
