"Stoned bootkit" by: softluver
Other Thoughts: To the previous poster:
In regards to the "Stoned" bootkit, you copied that straight from Wikipedia, but you conveniently failed to mention:
(but potentially every hard disk encryption software is affected too if it doesn't rely on hardware-based encryption technologies like TPM, or - even if it does - if this type of attack is made with administrative privileges while the encrypted operating system is running)

"True rating is ZERO" by: Leftover
Other Thoughts: "Plausible deniability"? A bad claim! The insecure XTS method of utilizing an encryption algorithm? Typical bad programming! The "Stoned" bootkit, an MBR rootkit presented by Austrian software developer Peter Kleissner, is capable of messing up a Truecrypt encrypted volume. Ir that what users of this worthless software want? Government officials demanding your secrets to them!? Use other software!

"Great Program" by: mfcarpino
Other Thoughts: After using this program for a few weeks I wanted to give it a excellent rating. It takes a little bit of knowledge to understand how to use it but the program is worth it. I would recommend that any novice go to youtube and watch the videos and read the documentation you will really understand the functions of this program. "Poor user interface" by: Rechk
Other Thoughts: Doesn't work as well as FreeOTFE; Truecrypt has a much more clumsy user interface.
Requires administrator rights to even start it up if you want to use it on a USB flash drive

"Oke-lee-doke-lee..." by: The Vermin8tor
Other Thoughts: Used compusec encrypt 4? good, easy to install & use, but leaves a rootkit on your PC.Detected by AVG Anti-rootkit.Probably not a malicious rootkit, just an embedded one.OK,so can I reformat/re-install WinXP Pro,encrypt whole HDD without out any hick-ups?Was this review helpful? 70 out of 147 users found this review helpful.

"Outstanding" by: Phil
Other Thoughts: Have been working for some years now and it is fantastic. Don't even need to install it simply unzip and run, I like this "portable" way of working since I use it on several computers. The best !Was this review helpful? 69 out of 163 users found this review helpful.

"practically useless" by: Henda
Other Thoughts: Truecrypt runs only if your logged in Windows as adminstrator. Under this restriction, Truecrypt is practically useless because the reason for applying Truecrypt to a thumb drive is that you cannot bring your own computer to outside and you rely on someone else's computer to access files on your thumb. Don't forget that no computer owner would allow anyone to log in as administrator. You can rest assured that nobody can peek your files - including yourself. Was this review helpful? 77 out of 160 users found this review helpful.

"What if you are not the admin" by: Jacky
Other Thoughts: Truecrypt does not run if you are not the administrator, or the computer does not have Truecrypt pre-installed. This is usually the case when you have to carry your personal thumb drive which contains secret tricks to work on customer's site. Of course, the work site denies you to login as admin and therefore, Truecrypt becomes a lost-key vault. I would recommend another Portable freeware http://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/toucan which encrypts files and does not require administrative right to run it.
