"only as archive"
by: Henry

Other Thoughts: Exe files saved in OTFE Desktop cannot run. Data files cannot be opened. You need to copy those files to a real disk and run them on the real disk. OTFE merely serves as file archive.

"Doesn't need admin rights"
by: Rechk

Other Thoughts: FreeOTFE doesn't need administrator rights once installed.

It's got a *much* more usable interface than truecrypt as well

"only if you are administrator"
by: Henry

Other Thoughts: OTFE is good, even better than TrueCrypt, but it works only if you logged in Windows as administrator. Supposed that you have files saved in encrypted volume in a thumb drive and you bring the drive to your customer, hoping to open it using OTFE. Your customer does not allow you to login as administrator for obvious security reasons. Sorry, you cannot run your OTFE at all.

Other Thoughts: this is better than truecrypt and has more options.
also its developer sarah dean replys your problems kindly .but for solving your problems with truecrypt(which is good software also ) you can not use yahoo mail . freeOTFE has a interesting homepage .go and see .there are a comparision of similar disc/volume encrypting software that is very usefull .freeOTFE accepts much longer passwords than truecrypt. good luck
