 | "nice for casual usage" I like this software for casual usage, when you want to hide folders from average users. For professional encryption and safety it's not appropriate, of course. But I suppose it was not meant to be for that. It is just a good tool that comes in very handy for hiding folders on a home users level. For that it is very good. Thanks to the developer!

 | "You are right......" I'm sorry for using the inappropriate name that causes such unnecessary misunderstanding.I'm tring to rename it.What about "Folder Protection"? "Folder Hider"?

 | "It doesn't encrypt" I must agree with the previous reviewer. You wouldn't want to trust this program with sensitive data!! But as I said before, it's good for just "hiding" stuff from a casual user. I think the developers should maybe call it "Folder Hider", then people would know what it actually does.

 | "Pure Crap!" This is pure crap. It's "Strong Encryption Algorithm" is nothing more than moving your files to a subdirectory with a known path bug error in it. Running chkdsk against it will delete the "encrypted" files. Your password isn't even encrypted. It just subtracts one from each of the characters entered.

 | "The previous review" If you don't want to see the folders you have encrypted (hidden!), once they're done, all you're left with is the Folder Encryption exe. just delete that and there's nothing showing at all in the folder now, it looks empty. To decrypt, you can just copy the exe. back into the folder from anywhere and run it. I've been testing this out, and it really does work well, even works on RW CD/DVD media. As long as it's used to prevent casual users modifying your data, it's a great little program.

 | "Almost Perfect" While I have my doubts about true encryption. It's not accessible like many other similar programs.
Would have rated a perfect 4 except for the fact that it changes the folder icon & description to indicate it's encrypted. This should be an option not a default as it makes it easy to determine encrypted vs. non-encrypted folders. Otherwise Great work!

 | "Handy tool to have" This works very well for what it does,i.e. it hides the data more so than encrypting it.It can't be encrypting the data as it's just not possible to encrypt data that quickly, that said, it's still a good little program to have as there are paid for programs that do basically the same thing as this. I'm sure there's a way to get at the data as it's not encrypted, but if you just want to stop the casual user messing about with your data, then this does the job very well.
