Majority Rules indeed, by the negative comments on this review section.Decide for yourself by downloading it.I'm going to go with the majority on this one!! I'll try it some time for myself, and then post a review....

"IT SUCKS!"

This truly sucks. I install it on my laptop and it messes it up. It literally messed with my antivirus software and a lot of other things. I couldn't even boot up long enough to uninstall it. Now I have to format my HD to even get Windows on it back working. I refuse to download any more of their software. I advise not to get this software.

"Just a note."

If you're wondering why I didn't mention the open ports, it's due to the fact that I have a port-blocker, so even if you have one of those -- well, not even then should you use this program.

"I laughed."

I'm a bit buff on security, and hack myself regularly.

On ZoneAlarm: Got in 2 out of 17 times
On Comodo: Got in 1/17
On Ashampoo: Got in 13/17 times

At least Comodo is scoring high, blocking most trojan-like attempt to connect outside, and blocking all inbound connections 99.95% of the time.

ZoneAlarm would be my choice, but the fact that I was able to get one of my trojan-like (custom-made) programs to get through, it isn't the best at outbound filtering.

All in all, Comodo is still going to be my recommendation to everyone, and not some firewall that names itself after a cleansing product that loses affect after a day. -wonders who the hell named this one-fourth-ass program-

"No stealth!"

I checked Ashampoo Firewall on the web page "Shields Up!" and it failed stealth test. It only showed closed ports but not stealth. No good.

"Stick with ZoneAlarm"

While the program looks nice it doesn't do much. Left several ports open and vulnerable. I quickly switched back to ZoneAlarm.
