"Imaginary ware IT IS"

Yes it leaks like a screen door on a submarine! They need to do some really serious redo on this piece of garbage. Good side, it made me take a look at Comodo and this one shines over the 5 other programs that I tried out. From all the cruiseing through its functions, I think it is a real keeper!

"Try "free" sygate personal firewall"

sygate is free and works great. Simple as can be. I used pc tools firewall on my new computer (vista)--works fine but probably an earlier version.

"not for me"

I installed the previous version of this firewall and it messed my computer up so bad I could not even uninstall it until I went in, in safe mode. I am a very experienced computer user and software installer/uninstaller, so I am pretty good at these things. Back to Comodo for me, even though Comodo is more hands on than I would like.

"Can't Recommend This Version..."

Even though PC Tools Firewall passed all of PCFLanks test it didn't pass
GRC Leak Test even when requested to block it. Pass this up for now and try Comodo.

"Leaks Like a Sieve"

I tried out this software and it works really great, but, it leaks like a sieve. Even if you tell the firewall to block something, it still goes through. Only way I found to stop it was to block the program it's self. If PC Tools corrects this problem, I would rate it as a five. But until they fix the lead problem, I would not recommend this firewall. The only other complaint I have is once you give a program permission or not, you can not remove it from your software list.

"Below par"

Most people need to go by benchmarks from third parties in choosing a firewall. These benchmarks are provided by matousec.com, a highly reputable and independent firewall evaluator. The tests it conducts are very transparent. Based on its latest test results, only two firewals have scored 100% - Comodo and Online Armour Free. The choice between the two pretty much depends on which one is more stable and more user-friendly. Enough of these impressionistic reviews. Let's be real, people.
