"Windows 2000 Pro"
I use Windows 2000 Professional. This firewall didn't work at all. In fact after I installed it "It told me I was protected" and all I needed to do was reboot, well, I rebooted and stuck around my computer to view the process of it loading. "The program give me an error and then left my computer helpless". I cannot recommend this program at all because of that. It's one thing for it to not work, but the simple fact that if I would not have stayed with my computer and trusted this program to begin with would have left my computer wide open to a "NON- FIREWALL ATTACK".

FWIW IMHO Sygate is still the best ... easy & secure for the novice, powerful for the expert. (Add a HIPS like Threatfire if you're paranoid). This PCTFW is probably in 2nd place; but only because it stinks less than the competition. Comodo drives me nuts with its cryptic popups (I'm fairly knowledgeable and even I don't know what the hell that program is doing half the time,apart from generating income for my therapist) & ZA Free is worth just about what you pay for it. So, go old school with Sygate or this. Another freebie option is Avira's renewable 90 day trials (just get a new free license key from them every 90 days...Google to find their webpage). Note this is NOT their free version, it's their paid Internet Security version that has a perpetual free trial. Avira's firewall is adequate; their anti-malware is superb.

As a non comercial user, I have shifted from Zonallarm (New) to this, it is better than Zone allarm.I suggest,language section menu should appear in setup & only selected language should be instolled others unnecessary for user.I had to deleted all others languages from the folder manualy please do like CCleaner .

"It's getting better but...."
Tried this firewall once again, and it's getting better but not quite there. It still has a leak problem but the major problem at least on my system is the FWService keeps crashing. This in turn shuts down the firewall. While the firewall has some nice improvements I would use it if they fix the FWservice problem. It's simple, and easy to setup even in the advance mode. One day it will be there but for now I will go back to Comodo.

Don't know about the new version, but the version 3.0 worked great. Been using it for bout year/half, makes me wonder why i need a new version and if the new is better ? but it's lots better than windows crap!
