"THE BEST freeware..." I've been using this for quite a while to clean my computer and other peoples' computers very quickly & efficiently. "THE Best" Absolutely the best registry/file/folder cleaner available, primarily because it allows the (experienced) user to custom edit which files and registry entries to delete in addition to the 'standard' choices. Keep up the great work! by: GBJ	5	2009-03-26

"It's THE Best" CCleaner continues to be at the top of many user's lists because it not only does a fantastic job of cleaning useless trash from both your registry and file folders, but also because it allows the user to clean their own selection of registry entries and files by editing the winapp2.ini file. "Great" Found a way to make it even better though. Use a freeware program like batch icon extractor to get the icon from ccleaner, then use winrar to rar the files at max compression. Create a sfx that will run ccleaner & add the icon. I usually make the title bar say Piriform / CCleaner / 2.11 & ask Run CCleaner? You can make this about 1/2 or even 1/3 the size of the portable version sometimes, depending on the program you are "portabalizing". Because CCleaner can save options to ini file, & it has by default do not delete files older than 48 hours old, it works great running from the temp dir, & is automatically cleaned up & deleted by rar sfx once you close out your "portable" ccleaner. by: Junk Buster	5	2008-08-25
