 | "v- 0.10.4" Besides my previous posting;
when one first opens the program, 'no settings' is displayed --- should be called, maybe, 'present settings'.
So, before any changes are made, there are probably some entries already selected (in red) but one can not change these, if so desired.

 | "Great!!!" Very good and easy to use. Many settings are done with just a few clicks. Your Windows will be more safe.

 | "v- 0.10.2" Most of these settings can be used on Win2k, as well.
For XPers, you need not make a restore point before running this --- after you make your selections BUT before you activate them, this program will will ask you/ has a module to do this.
I think, to broaden its user friendliness, it should elaborate as to why one might select an action and what the repercussion(s) are likely (beyond the obvious)
Example: Clear Page Files on shutdown> usually for very high security concerns>
erases fragmented data there> will [significantly] prolong your shutdown time.
...Something like that

 | "Great" Good way to disable those annoying windows genuine advantage prompts.
Genuine, or not, it's annoying to have it say HEY, DID YOU KNOW YOUR GENUINE?
I think it is under general & just tick the one for disabling Windows Genuine (dis) Advantage... Hit apply & reboot & presto, hey, no more WGA mess!

 | "Good software but..." Good software but one should not especially notch:
-use classic start menu
-use classic logon window
That blocks starting Windows.
Good luck :D

 | "Hunh?" Downloaded and installed this program followed by a restart. After two years I found myself locked out of windows at pre-boot. "Unknown user, unknown password." Don't know if it was this program but I'd stay clear of it.

I have installed free'disable DCOM' software, seems ok.Perhaps you can disable it,after all...It stops remote cohnections between other pcs/servers used by Microsoft ect,to try and get info from your Home PC,or easily accesss it through remote desktop. Not exactly sure but read review with free 'Disable DCOM' software. It will tell you all about its use.

 | "Usefull Tool" alberteinstein, this software shuts down listening on ports, but it does not disable services like RPC nor DCOM service, which has nothing to do with DCOM port, it is just similar name.
