Game Booster 2.0

Pros: none that i can think of

Cons: shareware- need i say more

Other Thoughts: The Final version is now shareware and some features now are locked until you buy it!

"Game Booster (things you need to know)"
by: AcidGlow

Other Thoughts: Although this program does work (no question about it) the new version (1.5) has a bug or two. First the 1 click shortcut created on the Desktop will not actually do much. Reason being that the new version forgets your settings unless you run it in a specific sequence. Since settings are forgotten you will want to seek out the version 1.4 (it does not have the 1 click boost feature but remembers the settings). Or you will need to forget about the desktop shortcuts, open the program through the start menu, Click on configure link (close by the Switch to gaming mode button), Check following settings: "Show all current processes" and "Remember". Go through the list of processes running checking the ones that you want turned off. Click OK then feel free to click the Switch to Gaming Mode!. For every next run you must remember to click configure link then check the Show all current processes button. Failure to do any of the steps herein will make the application forget (uncheck) all processes you may wish to have turned off and will only shut down services that aren't necessary while gaming. The developers are currently aware of this bug so hopefully next release will not have the same problem.

"Yap...it works!"
by: Ivan

Other Thoughts: This is very nice program that disable unnecessary services and programs while its in "game mode". With one click you can turn back to "normal mode". Very simple and usefull, but in some games "boost" is about 5-10% or less.

"Actually works"
by: Skovlund

Other Thoughts: My Football Manager 2009 started to lag, so gave this little application a try since IOBit have made some other decent programs, and to my surprise... It actually works, the game runs a lot smoother probably because of the amount of free extra RAM used for gaming. I highly recommend it!

"Very good"
by: Robbie Amaral

Other Thoughts: Works for sure, it really stops useless stuff that can always make a difference when playing games, and when stopped playing that stuff can be re-enabled without any problems. Must-have even for High-End systems specially because it frees Processor usage, and it can be used for more stability when playing. :-)
