"Excellent Open Source proposal...!" by: JPEGsnoop 1.5.0
Pros: It is free (Yes, free!), Open Source, portable and works wonderfully well.
Cons: The complexity of the data extracted by JPEGsnoop can discourage the newbie.
Other Thoughts: Excellent Open Source proposal to study critical metadata that incorporate digital images. With this we can trace the origin of these images and the impact of changes applied to them. JPEGsnoop is portable, comfortable in size, just 1.35 MB, and single file, but in the author's site is the Source Code for those who want to know their secrets.
In my case - I am an amateur photographer - I can only thank the developer Calvin Haas - a true connoisseur of photographic art - and Impulse Adventure for this formidable contribution, knowing that soon will have a large audience amongst its users.
The application does not bring help documentation, but in the author's site we found four magnificent and well-illustrated tutorials that thoroughly analyze the potential of JPEGsnoop and all we can find in a digital image. (In passing, you can see there the extensive Calvin Hass' photo gallery. There are images of great picturesque value. Have fun!)

Other Thoughts:I never would have thought a normal (non cleaned) photography could contain such an amount of metadata. This app reveals everything.
