Google SketchUp 8.0
Pros: It has everything that made sketchup great for free. Cons: You can no longer import dwg or dxf files into the free version of sketchup. You have to pay $500 for the Pro version just to do that. Other Thoughts: Gee, we make billions already why not put pressure on the those who have enjoyed sketch up the past 10 years and force them to buy it and we can make billions. "Extruder modeler"

Other Thoughts: This is a extruder type of modeler.
Draw a square, select the up arrow box to lift the face in the 3rd direction. Far from "Easy to use"
As far as spyware/adware, if you PAY ATTENTION during installation, you get a selection box ASKING to install the tool bar. This "Ask" as I call it, is the first attempt to (force so to speak) by virtue of the installer getting in a hurry. Obviously some fell for it.
I'm going to have to rate it low, it seems to have power, but it's way over my head. And I use dromed (dark room editor), a 3d editor. Complicated at first, but got used to it.

Other Thoughts: This program will install a toolbar and change your Internet Explorer without permission. Thank God I had two programs to catch it.
