"BE CAREFUL !!!!!!!!"
by: Stephen F.

Other Thoughts: I found SnagIMG to be very easy-to-use and it got the job done very well for me. BUT, I used SnagIMG for about an 1 - 1.5 hours to take screen shots of a certain installation. I would press [PrtScreen] and then "edit" in SnagIMG to look at the shot in Paint, then "Save As" in Paint. I made about 35 .JPG screen shots. Then came the time to re-boot to finish up my install, and then I went to find my .JPGs labelled 1.jpg thru 35.jpg, but they had disappeared!!! Evidently, they were saved to: C:Docs &
SettingsUserLocalAppsSnagIMGtemp (in short-hand), and when I closed the SnagIMG program these .JPGs got deleted. So, I lost 1.5 hours of work and 35 screen shots, plus, I have to do the install all over again. They are not in the Recycle Bin, either. Somehow Paint saved the files in the SnagIMG "Temp" folder, and maybe the author could change the program to either make a "setting" for the default dir (I know it works if I click "Save" on the SnagIMG pop-up menu) for the "Edit"
button method -or- could store the .JPGs elsewhere where they wouldn't
disappear after SnagIMG termination? I don't know if this method could be programmed -- but, point is, don't let this deletion and loss of JPGs happen to you!! Do this, instead: Hit [PrntScreen] then hit "Save" on the
SnagIMG menu and give the image a name and you'll be OK.
