"NOW WORKS"
Here is the fix without wading through endless forum posts: create a lang folder under where you run pspad, and put english.ini (or whatever other language you want) in that folder. I revise my rating from 1 to 5. I haven't used the program extensively yet, and hope it includes column selection and editing like multi-edit, but it seems to be very rich in features and capabilities. Excellent program!

"Foreign Language"
It looks very interesting - a worthy replacement for Multi-Edit which my company won't buy for me (they all use VI editor). I was completely frustrated when the program comes up in a foreign language - what a shame! All the functionality appears to be there, but the program is useless unless it is in English. Don't waste your time on this one - unless you can read whatever language it was written in. The English.ini file is there, but I can't read the help menu to figure out how to install it. No readme.txt to help with installation, either. VERY disappointing! by: Bruce Carter | 1 | 2009-11-10 |

"wrong default coding system"
Using PsPAD 4.5.4 to open an ANSI coded text file. In the Format Menu, it wrongly shows the document is in UTF-8.
When I saved the same as is, supposedly it is converted to utf-8, but actually it is still saved as ANSI.

"a fine one"
everything goes perfectly except one thing, there seems a heavy hard disk operation (maybe it wants to save some last settings) on existing which is a bit annoying. by: wgan | 4 | 2007-08-21 |

"Time Saver"
The FTP is a great time saver. Browse your FTP, open the file, edit, save. Done. No more drag and drop into FTP client. Used it for 6 months daily, no issues. by: smartcoder | 5 | 2006-12-20 |

"Too good to be true!"
I've used it for 5 months (PHP,XHTML,CSS). It never chrashed and always performs superior to other freeware products. Compared to UltraEdit and jEdit, I would say that PS Pad is a little less polished...Overall, a very good product. by: jones | 5 | 2006-05-02 |
