Bitcomet does not hijack your homepage. During the installation, the user is asked whether they want to change their homepage. If not, the settings remain as before.

At one time this was a rather nice p2p client. Now it's a way to hijack your web browser home page. It may do even more, as soon as I saw the hijack, I deleted it.

"not very good"
not good at all !! first off, its cpu hungry as many fsp, its set up and registration is complicated and stupid. i dont like having to sign in every time i log in. you will be greeted with a pop up window asking for a password!! WHY????? it also requires you to use letters, numbers and underscores!! WHY???? its only a fsp not a bank account. i have also checked to see if you can disable this option, and have had no success. it freezes often and my oes was very buggy with this loaded. its full of adware which becomes very annoying after a while. also watch the settings! when you delete an old file it automatically stores it as an archive and starts downloading it without your permission again!! very sneaky.. you can stop it but it should not do it in the first place. with all this in mind i found it hard work and as a previous reviewer said "not worth the bother".. get utorrent and avoid this one.

well for me utorrent is the best bittorrent client its installer only has 300kb compare to this one. . . . and utorrent may not slow down your computer unlike this one. . . .

"not really worth it"
how do templar, no probs mate. been using it for a while and decided its just not worth it! i downloaded u-torrent which is simply brilliant and bookmarked bt junkie and the pirate bay along with a few others. bitcomet has too many strings attached and is simply hard work and full of annoying advert pop ups. if you have an older pc then forget it as it burns a lot of cpu power. bitcomet will have to simplify and make this program more user friendly as its rivals have caught up with them and overtaken them..

if you want plenty of choice and are willing to bear with this programes complicated setup and annoying tweaking requirements,then give it a go. you "will" find just about anything your looking for. i had problems with simple things. it took me 3 usernames and password attempts which at one point were all written in chineese. then i had constant errors with my network connections and settings. it also uses a fair amount of cpu usage. i think once i get used to it, it will be worth it. but be warned "its hard work"
