Works very well and no nag screen like Limewire. To people who have little understanding how these file sharing programs work, there is always a chance of downloading a virus because of jerks out there. Frostwire itself has no virus or spyware in it.

"Virus and trojan ridden"
Tried this P2P once before. It did searches very fast and found what I was looking for but almost every time I started to download a file, or after I finished getting it my Avira antivirus found either a trojan or a virus in the download. Mp3 files were the only thing that didn't contain anything harmful to my PC.

This program is extremely slow compared to Limewire! Don't download Frostwire because it takes forever just to get search results! Use Limewire instead.

This program is constantly doing something in the background and takes forever to respond to commands.
Numerous instances wherein the program would not respond at all...
Extremely frustrating and a huge waste of time!

the reason people use other programs is simple. they are better than frostwire and anything else on the crap gnutella network. no fsp is safe but limewire and co are dreadful and are riddled with spyware and viruses. i use ares and its twice as quick as frostwire ,easier to use and safer. read the other reviews. limewire and co are on their way out unless they sort it out.

its just limewire. ive used both and they are just equally crap. full of bugs,viruses, double glazing salesmen, mormans and other nasties. it uses more power than the saturn 5 rocket, breaks down more times than kerry katona and just when u think youve downloaded the simpsons movie, guess what? its marge simpson being rimmed by chief wigam.

"Move over Limewire"
Even though FrostWire is very similar if not exactly the same as Limewire in looks and download capabilities I found it faster at startup and shutdown. There's alot less junk files and noticably no Trojans or viruses. That may change in the future but for now I'm sticking to this one.
