Pros: Yawcam works vey nicely. Easy to understand, several handy features. When you download this program from FREEWAREFILES.COM and install, the program appropiately tells you there is an update. Very handy. I give 5 stars to Yawcam 0.3.7.0 (update ver.) Cons: none Other Thoughts: My new webcam and the first I've ever had is a Kinobo. I'm an experienced computer user, not expert. Pros: First off, it works. That's amazing. It found my Logitech web cam that I simply plugged into a USB port in Windows Vista SP2. The motion sensing works, too. Cons: This is free software, so there are no *real* cons, are there. If you complain too much, write your own program. Pics are not highest quality, but you can ID a person, especially in high-light. Not sure this would work in low light. Motion sensing was not working for me, so I hit auto-detect, and Yawcam instantly rebooted my machine. OOPS! But after that motion-sensing worked so I'll put up with that. Sometimes it will *click*, but not actually store the photo on the hard drive. Other Thoughts: This is a great - free - product that with some tinkering will work fine on Windows Vista Service Pack 2. I finally found a program that works, after a few that did nothing. Pros: Just downloaded this software and thus far I am very happy with the features. Relatively easy to use. Could maybe use a couple more "Help" features. Streaming, Still photos etc have been working flawlessly! Cons: I have an HD webcam and Yawcam uses Java, so my resolution is less than perfect when it comes to image quality. Other Thoughts: Easy to install but could only capture low res (QVGA) images. When set to higher resolutions, the image preview flickered and only approx 1/4 of the image was saved, the rest was black. Also appeared to only be saving a single image and not updating. Other Thoughts: I was looking for webcam sofware to replace or supplement the one packaged with my laptop. (bisoncap sucks.) i'm very pleased with YAWCAM, and i've downloaded and tried other before. it's simple to use, enables video streaming, can take pictures and even has motion detection in it. the best thing is that it's free. i haven't found another software like it. :)Was this review helpful? 51 out of 121 users found this review helpful.

Other Thoughts: Good Security, plenty of features. Easy to navigate, although you do have to get use where the features and controls are located. The best part is, .... it works!
