"Great WEB CAM Tool!" by: GEO Free Internetcam v1.4 Pros: Hey this software works great! You need to make sure your local windows firewall allows PORT 8000 and your router is set to forward requests via PORT 8000 to the local computer where this software is running and the web camera is stationed. If you do that, it works great! Be sure to set a user name and password otherwise it is wide open! You can configue for other than PORT 8000 but you need to make sure the firewall/router is open for the configured PORT of your choice. Make sure to close other camera software before running the server or it may not be able to find the web camera. Cons: Motion is a bit jumpy but may be related to ablity of the computer acting as the server. Other Thoughts: Audio would be nice! "Doesn't Work" by: Free Internetcam v1.2 Pros: None Cons: Turn it on, set a user name and password, check for IP, open the preview screen and... all it does is attempts to connect, over and over and over and over and over and.... m ycam LED light just kept going on and off and on and off. Other Thoughts: It would be so nice if people would make something and actually TEST that works BEFORE putting it out there for people to use. This is the reason there are so many "Recalls" on products. "Ooh, I have an idea, lets make a medication that helps people with heart problems"... then 15 to 20 years later, they get sued because it caused Liver Disease and Cancer... Way to go Einstein.
