"Important Update"
This is the final update from Mozilla for Firefox 2.0. They will now only support Firefox 3.0. Firefox 2.0.0.19 works well on all my operating systems, Windows, Linux, Mac. I have always let Mozilla install all the updates for me, never rushing the process, they always work. by: Pixturesk | 5 | 2008-12-18 |

"Firefox 2.0.0.18 - BUGS"
Locks up constantly. Performance problems were not experienced with 2.0.0.17 - this release was too early.

"Check out "Firefox Ultimate Optimizer": a must-have addon for all Firefox users !!!"
Firefox Ultimate Optimizer 1.1
“Reduce Firefox memory usage”
by Elena Santos
Firefox is my favorite browser ever. I love it because I can open as many tabs as I want in a single window and I can freely customize it with extensions. The problem is that these two great features, tabs and extensions, sometimes turn Firefox into a heavy burden on system resources.
But now I've found the perfect solution. It's called Firefox Ultimate Optimizer and it's a small tool that drastically reduces the browser's craving for memory and CPU. The program doesn't have any configuration options and can only be set to launch with Windows if you have admin rights on your system.
Once launched, it will simply sit on the system tray and perform its task in an incredibly efficient way. Just open the Task manager window and see the difference between running Firefox with or without Firefox Ultimate Optimizer.
I have one single complaint: I'd like to be able to hide the system tray icon. But I guess that's a small detail that can be added that to the Wish List for future versions. In all, this is an excellent Firefox companion that makes me love my favorite browser even more.
Firefox Ultimate Optimizer will make your Firefox browser much lighter on resources!

P.S. - Although it's true that there are no configuration options the system tray icon can in fact be hidden just by right-clicking on the taskbar and by then clicking on Properties...you know the drill. by: Chuck Fenton | 5 | 2008-05-21 |

"good"
its better than ie for many reasons. if you want a simple browser then stick to explorer but if you want a options browser then go for this. security is better than ie as its not an integral part of your operating system so if you have problems they can be fixed easily as it dosent give hackers n spyware developers a direct route to your system. firefox has much more good add ons and is being developed rapidly, where explorers development has came to a halt. i found it much quicker than ie. firefox3 beta5 uses much less cpu power than its previous versions. overall its a good browser and worth a go. by: hoppy | 4 | 2008-05-21 |

"sluggish"
not much of an improvement, rather the opposite: This version is very sluggish and stops responding every now and then. by: Tallsamoan | 3 | 2008-05-10 |

"Excellent browser!"
This is one of the best and most secure browser the world has ever seen till now. Firefox uses less RAM than IE uses and also allows us to change the theme and apply many extensions which IE doesnt have. There are also so many tweaks available for Firefox which makes it much more faster(even though it is fast at first!). It also updates itself to the new version by itself and prompts us to restart when ever needed. The setup also comes in a small 5 mb exe file and also installs fast. It also recovers any lost session if the computer crashes and allows us to view the pages we were viewing before. Everything is a pice of cake in Firefox. Be it surfing, tweaking, applying themes, using extensions and much more! I do recommend Firefox to every user as it is the best till now! by: Vishal | 5 | 2008-04-18 |
