 | "Confused" I would have given this a 5 except after installing and running it, the menu bar and the icons underneath the address bar were all black. I couldn't figure out how to change it so I did a system restore. Unfortunately, it restored me back to beta 1 with some features of beta 2, like the right click context menu with items on it that I can't use or delete. I then tried to uninstall beta 1, but windows can't find the uninstaller. I have no idea how to uninstall service pack 3. I'm very disappointed. Anybody know how to fix the right click context menu to get rid of the accelerators I can't use? Managing them does nothing. I even tried using Shell Extension Viewer from Nirsoft but they aren't listed in there either. As I said, I'm very disappointed and giving them a 3. If they could make it easier to install and run, then I would give them a 5.

 | "Problems with Beta 2?" Yes, to the previous poster and to all the good folks that have installed IE8 Beta 1 before, Microsoft says that uninstalling both XP SP3 and IE8 Beta 1, then reinstalling XP SP3 will solve the problem. Afterwards, you should be able to run this version with no problems: ) BTW I like it a lot., it's way better than Beta 1. Give it a try.

 | "won't work for me" The browser appeared to install ok, but every time I try to run it, the browser just shuts right back down. Thank goodness for Firefox being a dependable functional browser.

 | "Very, Very Poor" I have a PC with an Intel 2.8 DuoCore Processor, a 256Mb nVidea graphics card, and 2Gb Dram memory.
IE7 refused to install on my PC, and so has IE8. All I get is a message stating that 'IE8 has failed to install...' WHY ?
I had no problems installing FF 3.0, or Opera 9, so why won't this IE8 install. It's infuriating !

 | "best of all browsers" I've tested the latest versions of all the current browsers and none compare in speed, ease of use and simplicity. Best by far!!

 | "It's ok...." Fine browser, if you want to be exposed to drive by downloads, & other mess like that based on active X technology...
Firefox is much better & safer to use.
Unlike Opera, that tries to throw everything you need, or even things you will never use, INCLUDING the kitchen sink, literally....
Really, the best browser hands down, for now, is Firefox.
Sure, Opera may be a fraction of a second faster loading (who cares), but the time you waste TRYING TO FIND the features you DO use do not justify the switch.
Firefox, in terms of security, speed, simplicity, & ease of use is the king of browsers for now....

 | "Not that bad..." It works OKish. And to answer the two previous posts, there is still more than 70% of users who uses IE(in the world)!
Futhermore if you want the best browser of all you must try Opera! It is the best browser (much better then FF, with no function at all, can't even duplicate a tab! lol... it's lame). Read browser comparatives on internet and you'll see, Opera is always the first (this is not exagerated)!

 | "Still the same old trident crap!" I agree with Jeus, i dont know anyone who regular use IE anymore, it`s either Firefox or SeaMonkey or K-Meleon, much safer and a ton faster :-)
MS needs to totally replace the old trident, which is a dinosaur.....

 | "Who?" Who uses IE today? Personally, I know nobody and I'm not being ironic, that's true.
When we talk, we say "well, open your Firefox etc etc).
Nice shiny buttons though. The program is crap for a number of reasons. Just read around the web (but browse with FF)
