| | | | "was good till last update!" by: Noodles ChromePlus 1.6.3.1
Pros: Tons of addons, enhanced privacy, simple to use. Cons: Not quick, buggy, heavy on resources. Other Thoughts: Been using this for 8 months and i was happy with it until the last version update!
It used to be quick and snappy but this new version is very slow at loading certain pages and often loads them half complete.
When i start my browser it can take 10sec sometimes to load Google's homepage, this isn't spyware as i use it in another pc and its exactly the same.
This version also struggles on youtube, especially when videos are set to 360.
I have also noticed its getting heavier with each new version and eating up more ram..
I always clear my privacy, temp files and cookies after every session, i don't have that many addons and my pc is malware free so il be damned if i know whats happened.
To be sure i tried another browser for comparison and it was much quicker so looks like i will be dropping this one which is a shame as i liked it..Was this review helpful? 11 out of 21 users found this review helpful.

Pros: None Cons: None Other Thoughts: Having read High-5_Ghost review and use of the words 'I am' twice in his text. Then ending it with a quote from Leary. He might wish to read a quote from
A.L.Kitselman.
The Words 'I Am...' are potent words, be careful what you hitch them to, the things you're claiming has a way of reaching back and claiming you. Was this review helpful? 45 out of 68 users found this review helpful.
| | 2011-08-26 | | | | "re WOT, Wear Our Tyrannizer" by: High-5_Ghost ChromePlus 1.6.1.0
Pros: Webkit-based
Novelty, built-in resource inspectors, and rapid development fosters a rich learning environment for web dev enthusiasts Cons: See pros Other Thoughts: I admit, I am inspired to author review, only after reading a previous respondent's defaming commentary which alludes to his or her intent to devalue the software, for having no /built-in/ (assumed) 'WOT' facility. I write for urging readers to think for themselves: entities such as 'WOT' exist because they propagate fear. Users who buy-into such propaganda may be likened to the hordes of fans who burned their Beatles records when John Lennon allegedly associated the group's popularity with religious worship. In more archaic times, similar organizations attracted media attention when their misdirected followers held public book-burnings to alleviate the fear they propagated. In contrast, the ubiquity of the Internet as a platform for the Peoples' voice; the unprecedented growth in viable Learning Resources; the so-called /Information Superhighway/, in being open for those capable of traversing it, makes for another easy-target for groups (or individuals) whose existence is dependent upon the amount of fear they are able to propagate.
The reader must adopt an objective point-of-view, and consider the absurdity so evident in retrospect of events like "book-burnings", and the historical parallels common to the examples I've cited. Congruent with the Goal of Mankind are His strive for a better Civilization, His faith in-- and hope for-- advancements in Medical Science, and His comprehension of the inherent value of Education, yet he is nonetheless subject to forces designed to dampen His Achievement. The forefathers of the United States were wise enough to protect Freedom of Speech from its nemesis, Censorship.
I realize my verbose text will not be well received in this context, however, the notion in Review of /this/ software, that ChromePlus is flawed as packaged without a proper instrument of censorship (i.e. We Oppress Text) is such that I am struck by a great urgency to undo the damage of so much misdirection. Remember the words of Leary, “Think for yourself. Question authority.”. Freedom and Independence are destined to fall, otherwise. | | 2011-05-01 | | | | "Its fast, very fast.." by: Stuart ChromePlus 1.5.2.0
Pros: Its fast, simplistic, minimal, good add ons, built in flash player, safe so far. Cons: I am still getting used to the interface. Other Thoughts: I am an Opera user and if i have to be honest a was hoping this would be a dog!
All my mates have raved about this browser so i finally installed it.
My only small niggle is getting used to the interface but thats not the browsers fault, im simply used to a conventional layout that has more buttons.
The first thing you will notice is the speed, its quick and also smooth and loads flash intensive pages with ease.
It also has its own built in flash player and pdf reader, small touches that make a massive difference.
I have only been using it a day but so far i think this is a well put together browser.
It was easy to set up and importing my bookmarks from Opera was easy via html back up.
I will post an update later but so far its the business..Was this review helpful? 27 out of 52 users found this review helpful.
| | 2011-02-26 | | | | "It uses WOT." by: poywatch ChromePlus 1.5.2.0
Pros: Chromium in any form is a lot easier and faster to use than most other browsers. Other Thoughts: Click the wrench, then click extensions and get extensions and download WOT and follow directions. Very simple and takes about 2 minutes. Chromium now comes with lots of extensions such as WOT, AdBlock Plus, screen shot, and many more provided by Firefox researchers and extension masters. | | 2010-01-19 | | | | "Good features and no track back to Google." by: poywatch
Other Thoughts: Nice features already included. No internet trail back to Google. I like the ability to show multiple tabs without remembering to use the middle wheel click. This latest developer update does however crash occasionally. That is why I did not give it a 5.Was this review helpful? 60 out of 123 users found this review helpful.

| | 2010-01-14 | | | | "ChromePlus" by: kchog
Other Thoughts: Version 1.2.5 has added some startup options which really enhances the customization of this browser. I like Firefox and Opera, but right now I am using this as my main browser. It is very fast. I use "BFilter" as a tool to block ads, popups, etc. You just have to change your proxy settings in your browser for HTTP. I highly recommend ChromePlus. Was this review helpful? 63 out of 121 users found this review helpful.

Other Thoughts: With the additional features this is better than Google Chrome and fast too.It has an installer and you can install it in any of your drives, contrary to Google Chrome which goes directly to your local drive,C:
This also does not send user-statistics to Google. Was this review helpful? 126 out of 238 users found this review helpful.
