"Good Free FTP Program"
This is a very nice, and free, FTP program. You can get a portable version of this , and other applications. at portableapps.com.

"Quasi-portable"
Even though FileZilla did not advocate that it is portable, you can install it, copy the program files to a thumb drive, pull out the thumb drive, and uninstall the software. The program in the thumb can run by itself on any computer. That is portable by definition. However, the login info such as names and passwords are saved in the Host Computer rather than on the thumb itself. In other words, you are leaving behind sensitive info on the host machine after you said goodbye to the host.

Port number should be defaulted to 21 if the user doesn't want to change it. Otherwise it's a great tool.
