 | "full of spyware" Google again shows how they spy on users. As far as I know, all their free software has a hidden, built-in service that connects secretly to Google to collect data about you and store a profile. This software is full of spyware too.

 | "Excellent" Another possibility, how to use Gmail, which is the best available free email. This program is simple, no useless emoticons and oter junk. It uses only low bandwith, so I can even play online games, that is something, I can not do with Skype. It is so perfect, that I see nothing, that could be improved. :)

 | "good start." i've read many bad reviews about google talk but i don't think they're reviewing taking into consideration that it just came out.
true, there aren't a lot of features but msn and yahoo have become quite bloated. it's nice to see a new messenger that can sign you in in a snap. and yes, i am waiting for more features but i'm hoping it doesn't get too fancy with all the extra crap microsoft have decided to include. .i mean... what the heck are winks for?

 | "I expected better...." My time is short, so I'll be brief: Google Talk is a very, very basic instant messenger. It appears to be very stable, but that's about all it has going for it. No emoticons, no file transfers, and you can only use it if you have a gmail account (which is available only by being invited by someone else). There is simply no way this IM can currently compete with the likes of MSN or Yahoo. I expected much better from Google than this. Hopefully, it will continue to evolve.
