| | | | "NOT FREE"
This is trialware and costs
money to use after 30 day.
Don't bother with it as there
are TONS of freeware apps
that do the same thing and more.

This program is no longer free. The authors have decided to charge a fee for it's use, if you continue to use it longer than the trial period. by: Savvy Software Sam | 1 | 2006-12-20 | | | | "Not Free"

Yeah, I was really impressed with this too ... I saw their first release a while back and it was OK but I had a few problems getting it to run on my router. Now this new version supports UPnP and it installed in seconds!! Now THAT'S an upgrade!
And the BuzzMail thing ... have seen video email before but usually it's slow as a turtle with huge files and rotten picture quality. I just recorded a few tests and they're all fantastic. Fast, small files (my 1 minute message to my mom, who's got just a modem connection), only took up about 140Kb. Took her about 30 seconds to download.
My sister's got DSL where she lives, so we set up and I sent her a higher quality message. Still, full motion video and cd-quality audio ... 30 second message, took her 10 seconds to download.
I'm impressed! And yes, there's a dead easy way of sending out Buzzmails to your friends, so that's what I'm doing now, but I wanted to give these guys the credit they're due and recommend you give it a try!
Cya!

I'll be honest and tell you I didn't hold out much hope for this. I've used Video chat software in the past, and none of them have been much good, even on broadband (drop-outs, problems connecting, difficult to use, unstable, etc. etc.).
I was VERY surprised (and pleasantly too!) to see that Buzz 3D FreeChat is that most rare of Freeware programs : Something that looks as good as a commercial piece of software, runs flawlessly, and even beats hands down in performance terms all the ones I've used in the past. In short, I am amazed, and Buzz 3D, if they continue developing the add-ons like they've promised (messaging and a Sketchpad / Whiteboard combo) have a customer for life in me. Now excuse me while I tell all my friends and family and start saving money on my phone bills! by: Harmony_15 | 5 | 2003-10-20 | | | |
