CD Rewriter drive froze ,"Sourburn" Spits out discs tells me to insert blank media ,finally got media burned to disc with errors.Should come with health warning "May damage your computer"

Actually, Starburn does not hijack your homepage and default browser. During the setup process, it asks and includes checkboxes, if the user wants to set their homepage and search engine to Starburn's homepage and default search engine.
If the program hijacked a user's homepage and default search engine, we'd pull the listing immediately.
As for the quality of the program, we'll leave that up to the users.

Starburn hijacks your home page and your default search engine. In whichever your default browser Starburn is the worst I've ever seen.

I've been using this program for about a year now. Great program especially since it burns from Video_TS Folders. I see no problems at all, great software and it's free. Running Windows XP PRO with SP3.

"It broke my DVD Drives"
I'm sorry, but I cannot suggest it at all.
After installing and rebooting, my DVD drive repeatedly fail to read any support.
I've made the great mistake of installing it on two machines, a laptop and a barebone, and now their drives are broken (i.e. drives cannot even boot from cd/dvd, so it's not an S.O. problem).
I'm quite upset, but if someone from support needs further infos, well, I'm there.

The complaint exposed by an "anonymous" user that this application froze his burner, seems not to have base with this new version: After multiple tests we can assure that StarBurn 10.5 works very well with that we have.

I have been using starburn since version 9 when nero was still not vista compatible and i loved it for its simplicity and low resource usage. Version 10 is even better with more features. It has never failed to burn a CD or DVD and to the reviewer below LSj, i think your case is similar to what some of my friends and i have encountered several times: substandard disks or fake disks. Surprised well, do not worry just try again as this could be the reason why it could not burn and if it did there was nothing to read.

"Doesn't Work"
Downloaded it, played with it, but in the end it doesn't burn. Every blank disc I put in, whether it was DVD or CD, the program kept telling me that the disc was full and burning was impossible. But they were all blank Discs!

dude no offense but why you try Starburn if you think NERO its soo good ?..ah and btw in this sections we talk of FREEWARE software not COMERCIAL like NERO..ontopic STARBURN its good program for burning but i stay with CDBurnerXP..
